Unless of course you break the rules and actually put the server behind bbc.
I wouldn't mind Reddit doing a "r" domain, so for example instead of typing in reddit.com/r/example it would be example.r making it easier for people who browse on mobile.

[QUOTE=Trekintosh;42984845]How is the Wii better than its successor than the PS3? The WiiU is just a Wii where someone duct taped a cheap tablet to one of the controllers.[/QUOTE]
Sorry but what you think the Wii U is is hilariously wrong.

I'm glad that I live within 30 minutes to two different Micro Centers :v:
Talking with some of non-american friends,
VAT is rubbish and you guys should riot in the streets
I wouldn't say the Wii U is very much of a brilliant idea.

I wish US shops included the tax or we had one single tax rate not just whatever the state wants.
[QUOTE=paul simon;42989017]I wouldn't say the Wii U is very much of a brilliant idea.[/QUOTE]
True, but calling it a Wii with a gimmick tablet controller is silly.
[QUOTE=Brt5470;42989044]I wish US shops included the tax or we had one single tax rate not just whatever the state wants.[/QUOTE]
I don't see how it would be difficult to print out the correct prices for each store.
How the fuck do you guys figure out if you have enough cash to buy something before getting to the register?
Further tales while plumbing the depths of Asshole's code:
He split everything into ten libraries or so (still trying to find all of them).
Each of them opens its own database handles, and loads several common libraries, including some of each other's, causing even more duplicate DB handles and memory usage.
But don't forget, in the constructor of the main library, there's a database query to delete old log entries. So this is being done multiple times per invocation of this library.
So yeah, I'd estimate a single run of his main application causes three database DELETE queries, opens a dozen DB handles, and initializes a half-dozen copies of the timezone helper library alone.
I don't know anything about that kind of coding but I know for a fact I'd never do something like that unless I was a double agent sworn to give my life for the company's competitor
[QUOTE=Brt5470;42989044]I wish US shops included the tax or we had one single tax rate not just whatever the state wants.[/QUOTE]
The reason we don't do that it is to trick consumers into seeing a lower initial price so they're more likely to buy stuff. Its got the same logic behind 13.99 as opposed to 14.00
Also I'm against a single sales tax rate because average income varies between states and states with lower average income rates could get dicked with a higher sales tax rate meaning people have to pay more money than they used to.
Plus, sales tax rate are rights accorded the states via the 9th and 10th amendments, so a national sales tax would be unconstitutional in principle

Just take whatever price it has and add about ~10% which is the average sales tax. It's 8.25% in Texas. Most people with basic elementary (primary for non americans) school education can perform such calculations in their head
[QUOTE=altern;42985406]also deeps, nys minimum wage is rising to like $9 by 2014, will your job's wages rise to remain relative?[/QUOTE]
Well seeing as I found out I'll be making more like 12-23 dollars an hour with commission. 10 dollars an hour base wages with anywhere from 2-8 dollars per positive review I receive. 15 dollars an hour overtime, with unlimited overtime available, I'm not too worried right now.
graduated in 2012 .at the end of 2012 i was making minimum wage At the end of 2013 im making over 10 bucks an hour, somedays over 20... I think life has gotten pretty good, eh?

Oh and I work in an office now and have to wear a tie.
So here's a picture of a fat kid in a flannel shirt with a tie on.

No, the tenth amendment would allow states to have additional sales taxes on top of a national sales tax. Federal sales taxes are fully constitutional.

Don't tell congress that, and read this: [url]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tax_protester_constitutional_arguments[/url]
i just found out that switzerland now requires by law since january 2013 all products to have a 2 year warranty
And then you have states like Oregon who don't have a sales tax, but have an income tax instead which gets taken out of your check whether you live in oregon or not..but Oregonians can come up to Washington and not pay sales tax.

Better than California where you have a significant sales tax and a huge income tax as well.

I didn't know you were the voice of WALL·E
Where do you think they got the name for him? They just dropped the R off the end of my name.
It's also ironic cause all my friends call me either Waller or Wally now.
