Also, UEFI itself is not a bad thing. It's actually a good idea, but ATM, it feels a bit forced by Microsoft requiring that all OEM's who want to sell windows8 laptops and PC's implement UEFI. It felt really rushed.

Well my college teacher for IT jobs and careers just rage quit. Shouted at us, said we didn't do our work in the hour despite only giving us half and not listening. Given us all a complete bollocking regardless if we were innocent or not.
I just arrived in class late and it turns out my teacher for information systems security never showed up, so thanksgiving break starts early I guess.

I've been wanting to upgrade to windows 8 for BF4 improvements.
If anyone has a 8 pro copy they don't want or don't use I can trade you many 7 Pro keys for it. Or if you need editing help or something I can do that too. BF4 in bechmarks is much more stable and consistent than in 7, and I'm interested in trying it out.
My wireless mouse got some signal problems.
The receiver was on the desk. Well now it is taped under the desk and it works better. woo!
I'll never buy a wireless mouse again, fuck em.
On a boot time note, windows 8 is god-like for it.

Same here, They know how to use Moodle here too and they've put a lot of effort into staff training so it works great.
And they don't treat you like a child when it comes to internet blocks, we get campus wide wifi and I've not been blocked from any sites I use.

Time for schools to switch to Linux then.
Maybe the huge influx of people migrating from MS Office will get LibreOffice to get off their ass and make .docx support better (currently it only works if you don't do anything particularly interesting with the document)
