We've solved the issues with usb. Use the 3.5mm plug with an internal USB pinout. Boom.

I would've done it in After Effects or in Premiere but my computer can't handle it with 4gb of ram :(

8GB is the current minimum RAM for anything I do imo.

And I only have 6 GB, so far I never had hit the RAM limit.

more ram will make your editing experience better by far, but 4GB isn't [I]that[/I] limiting for the moment, at least if your workload isn't massive
bump up your system to 8-16GB and you'll be set for quite a while unless you're doing professional work.

I'm pretty sure windows allocates ram based on how much you have (ie you have more, windows is more liberal in caching things etc)

What processor do you have to have 6 cores?
Probably some 3 core AMD processor.
It counts threads too. Pretty sure I don't have 8 cores.
