The windows 8 setup only gives me an option to Keep personal files, does this mean everything else on my HDD will be deleted? (not including my profile folder of course)

I believe that at least if you enable that it drops the old installation into C:\Windows.old

It'll save a [URL="http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/what-is-windows-old-folder-and-how-to-remove-it/"]Windows.old[/URL] folder on C:, it includes these folders:
* Windows
* Documents and Settings
* Program Files

I only had "Keep personal files only" as an option but it still made that Windows.old folder.
Alright, I'll post back when my install is done (most my steam games are on B:\ anyway) and tell ya all what happened. I hope you're right!

So my setup got stuck at 85% (pretty sure it was since the percentage was consistent but then it just stopped at 85%) and I restarted my comp and it's 'restoring your previous version of windows'.

If you already have GT5, just play the game and unlock the cars.
Or download some savegame.
Did you check to see if there was anything in the "List All Modes" resolutions in advanced video settings?
