Since I'm going to have a fresh windows install (and therefore, steam install) soon, is there any easy way to have steam batch validate my games? I'm not looking forward to having to manually click install, choose location, and wait for steam to validate existing files across ~500gb of games one at a time...

Bleh, I removed MS Security Essentials, and the laptop became MUCH quicker. I can't leave it without an antivirus, though :(
That must have been a while ago, my high school got rid of Win2000 machines with 64MB of RAM in july '04.
Last year, sadly.

I helped to clear out some laptops from a shool maybe 3 years ago. They kept laptops from the mid 90's as backup
And since no one wanted them, i gave them a new home. Only tricky bit is opening the lid on one since plastic parts of the lid fly off every time

I have a spare key if you want it.
Analogue TV shut off for Sydney today. Tueday 3.12.2013. I think we're one of the last in the world.
So many old people will freak out.

It seems to be 9am here so I've got 3 DVD recorders on 3 commercial stations, a super VHS on SBS and hopefully a miniDV camera on ABC which I'll have to start before work. I hope my timing is good and I record it.
You could probably replicate the effect by just ripping the antenna cable out
You could probably replicate the effect by just ripping the antenna cable out
That's not historical though. Think of all the TV tuners that will be useless now. Perhaps I can sell them to MIPS who probably has a VHF transmitter.
What's your shut off date for analogue TV?
I just looked up mine, it's a period from 2014 (biggest city in the country) to 2018 (entirety of country)
