I'd go for the Ultrasharp 2713HM. I use a 2713H, which has some different ports (including DP chaining) and has full AdobeRGB gamut, not just sRGB. But as long as the 2713HM has the same warranty - zero dead or bright pixels - I'd go for it.

i had the protective film around the screen on my old laptop on for about 2 years, until a friend ripped it off :suicide:

That film there covers the entire machine. So the fans are covered as well. I actually heard a story somewhere about a user who cooked their brand new iMac that way, and got several replacements before the store figured out what was happening :v:
I always rip the protective film right off, it annoys me so badly :() whenever I see someone else having left it on I get this feeling that I must kill it :V

For the macs I unboxed it didn't. The sticky part was right behind the outer corner screen parts. It's the new thin imacs and it doesn't cover the fans at all.

Well, its a backup in the sense that your safe from hard drive failure. But that's more redundancy than a real backup.

Well I got a working Arch install in a round-about way. Installed Manjaro Linux and then changed all the repo's and mirrors over to Arch ones and now it's basically Arch completely with no package freezing at all.
