The only problem I have is that I've no idea how to disable #PROCHOT on it, seeing as the CPU throttles down to 800MHz as soon as it reaches 65C. When I was still running Windows on it I solved this problem with a nifty little program called ThrottleStop.

I know what some of you may be thinking but it's actually surprisingly great once you optimize it to your needs. It's pretty darn accurate for multiple finger tracking and actually recognises my palm with full accuracy so it can disable itself completely. I barely need a right click and middle click button since it's accurate enough to register my 2 and 3 fingers respectively for that function. You can easily click nearly anywhere on the pad for those functions. Besides from that I've pretty much disabled all other gesture functions. It's not as bad as people make it out to be.
So how's this for an upgrade?

In the United States the T440s is nearly $1000 USD atm. Last I checked you could also get a Thinkpad T430 with a baseline Core i5 for $600 through Barnes and Noble Gold. They don't seem to sell T430 anymore but it might still apply to the new T440.
