W10 decided to deactivate itself. I've held a legitimate copy since 7 and now I can't reactivate. The 0x803FA067 was after attempting recommended fixes using generic keys. Otherwise I only get the 0xC00F074 error. I've scoured up and down on looking for answers and I'm running out of possible answers.
God gparted took hours on an SSD to move the partition right so I could extend the boot partition.
I'd hate to try this on an HDD.
i did run this but didn't get anything useful.
I solved it by disabling the ability for my network to wake my PC via magic packet. I recently had to reset my router and I'm assuming it had something to do with the change in settings on it.
The wheelable easel/cart mode is pretty dang cool, though this very clearly isn't intended primarily for consumers.
Finally, a tablet designed for my sausage fingers. You know what that cart reminds me of? The old TV with the VHS player which they used to roll out when I was in primary school for special occasions and films. But yes, in all seriousness, the hub2 seems geared towards a very specific clientele. It would be interested to see what my IT technicians at work make of this as I doubt it will be replacing school projectors and tv screens with hdmi cables any time soon.
It's like a whiteboard combined with a screen. Not sure what kind of work would make this worth the $9000+ price though.

so how aggravating is reactivating an existing installation on a new PC? I think my product key originally came from msdn as a 7 key but the change to 10 was after my subscription expired. do I still get unlimited activations or is that gone?
It’s starting to get a little spotty. My 7 Home Premium MSDN key won’t work for 7 now but works in 10 the last time I checked.
So is there still a way to get the free upgrade to 10 from 7? My parents have an old HP I'm planning to upgrade to an SSD, and it still has its original OEM install of 7. While I'd like to do a clean install without the crapware I need to make sure I can get it to activate on 10 first.
If you can find your 7 key on a sticker or through a tool it should work as a Windows 10 pro/home key depending on which 7 version it is.
"With tab support"
Based on the fact they have been promising that for explorer for years, I doubt that.
Sets got canned. But this is real
Yep, the OEM sticker for 7 Pro is still on the side of the machine.
Oh my fucking god I'm going to have a stroke. My computer just randomly started having a bsod/restart loop and it turns out that it's caused my AMD Overdrive which, I didn't know doesn't work on Ryzen. I didn't even have an overclock setting, I only used it to adjust fan-speed because the built in AMD app is dogshit. Anyway, I've been trying to get it into safemode, and the only safemode it'll boot into without trying install a mother fucking update is the safemode with no networking. That would be great if I didn't have to reset my password recently, and my computer's been off so I haven't been able to change it there. So once in safemode, I still can't log in. And trying to use safemode with networking leads to it trying to install some fucking update that causes it to restart out of safemode and then bsod.
What in the fuck do I do? I'm about to fuckin toss it out the window.
First option would be to try to get Windows to go back to a known good configuration through either the boot menu entry of the same name or System Restore (more or less this https://neosmart.net/wiki/booting-into-last-known-good-configuration/ ). Microsoft has been doing funky things with booting, so you might need to Shift+Restart it (https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-access-advanced-startup-options-in-windows-10-or-8-2626229).
Can you enter recovery mode? You should be able to log in with an expired password. If there isn't an option, you'll probably have to create a Windows 10 install disc (https://www.techjunkie.com/create-windows-10-recovery-disk/).
Slightly involved alternative: Boot a Windows Install Disc or into Recovery Mode and open up command prompt (Shift+F10 for an install disc, menu option for recovery mode). Then try this: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/amd-overdrive-blue-screen-of-death-aoddriver2-sys.2860793/#post-18644474
That would work great except windows still asks for my login to get into anything other than safemode, and because it hasn't been connected to the internet, it doesn't know my new password, and I can't remember my old one.
I'm assuming it's the app changing some settings at startup that causes the BSOD? If your drive's not encrypted you could probably use a bootable flash drive with some Linux distro on it to just delete the problematic .exe that causes the problem
Well I would do that, the only other computer I have is my phone. I've already downloaded a Linux distro onto my phone, but have no way to move that to a USB drive.
I prefer the rounded corners, but that's just me. Maybe make it a setting in edge://flags/?

What's the easiest way to migrate 10 to a new drive with all settings and personal files intact? My current HD isn't up to par with how much stuff I have on it.
Acronis True Image and clone the drive, get whichever one actually extracts from my box
Might have something to do with intel finally upgrading their GPUs
https://www.anandtech.com/show/14405/intel-teases-ice-lake-integrated-graphics-performance
Intel haven't said anything about VRR yet, but I think it's safe to assume that it will be included.
Send a letter to the EU lol
Google's the only one doing this to Chromium Edge.
Joke's on them though, the old design with the square avatars is better.
