Well this has got to be the 1st time I have ever seen this work in windows 10. [t]https://i.imgur.com/TsjuWK0.jpg[/t] No doubt I will never see it again.
Did their QA department not test on low-memory machines at all or something?
What QA department? :v:
Alright, I'm starting to think this is a Windows 10 issue, but I'm playing some games, not all, but a few, where performance will be flawless, then for no reason at complete random, the game will start to lower performance (Despite stating that it's running at a full 60fps). And by random, I mean, completely, utterly nothing changing.
So... I'm not sure what exactly has happened but it looks like my os installed some update and opengl has stopped working in Maya and other 3D modelling apps. Just blank viewport. Update list says there was no updates installed since mid-january. GPU is gtx 1080. Any ideas?
Ended up reinstalling Win10 because nothing I did fixed it. :surrender:
I'm looking at the newest insider preview build and it's a known issue for the build that connecting an external dvd drive will make explorer crash. How does this even happen :v:

opening the windows 10 start menu when you have two monitors of different refresh rates plays the opening transition animation at the refresh rate of the monitor that is currently playing a chrome video, rather than the refresh rate of the monitor you're opening the start menu on this is most noticeable opening the start menu on a 144hz display while a 60hz monitor is playing a youtube video, as the start menu animation will play at 60fps rather than 144fps.
My parents install of windows 10 has be acting real slow and, taking forever to boot and not it wont start up. Is there a repair tool I can use to fix the install by plugging the drive into my computer?

I haven’t really heard of an unfuck button-tier solution though.
I already tried that and it didn't work. I'll have to do a full re-install and hope I can use the OEM windows key
I already tried that and it didn't work. I'll have to do a full re-install and hope I can use the OEM windows key
OEM 7 keys work on the current version of 10 so no problem there :v:
Left Edge open for a day with 8 tabs, somehow ballooned to 5.5 GB of memory usage. What a great browser.
I installed 10 yesterday on a PC and links wouldn't even work in Edge, it would just freeze. Even after multiple reboots and killing the process. I had to open Internet Explorer just to download Firefox. Fresh install, went straight from the OOBE setup to Edge, no addons, no nothing, purely default. It's pure garbage.
I installed Win10 on my new SSD just now and Edge crashed when I tried to go to Firefox's download page. :v:
Honestly, I have had 0 issues with Edge esp. in the Cliff house and the only reason imdont use it is because my chrome extension list is so long that i cant use ulv processors

My windows update is getting stuck at 45% on 16299. What should I do? It's been 3 times and I've tried the windows update wizard thing. I have Destroy Windows Spying but I didn't block windows defender.
Hey pals, got a dell W10 desktop second hand and am doing a complete reinstall based on the on disk backup they have. I want to make usb install media in the event that the hard disk dies, I'm wondering if the usb media will include updates so it's good to go for when I need to use it? For example I'm downloading all updates and even the creators update, once this is finished installing and I make the thumb drive will it include creator update?
does it return an error message reports show that 45% usually is a "Windows could not configure one or more system components"
Yeah that's the error message I got one out of the several times I tried.
So my desktop shut off when i was out and decided to not detect my mouse and keyboard when plugged in, so now I’m stuck in the lock screen. It works in the bios and in grub, but it shuts off the mouse and keyboard when windows is booted

It's not a permanent solution but it might let you investigate what's going on.
Nope, and i can’t find my usb to ps/2 adapter [editline]1st March 2018[/editline] The weird thing is that my xbox 360 controller lights up but my mouse and kb don’t [editline]1st March 2018[/editline] Luckily i have a relatively recent system restore so imma try that [editline]1st March 2018[/editline] Fixed it but now bitdefender is using all of my ram and locks up my computer during start up I want to die [editline]1st March 2018[/editline] I can’t even fucking delete the damn thing in safe mode who the fuck designed this shit [editline]1st March 2018[/editline] I’m just gonna reinstall windows, fuck this piece of shit operating system tbh

So apparently start menu search completely shits itself and can't find anything outside your user directory (including any start menu items) if you disable UAC. :ok:
My Windows 10 keeps trying to install the killer 1709 update every so often even though I have disabled updates through GPOs, Task Scheduler and I have deferred updates.
disable UAC
Who honestly does this [editline]3rd March 2018[/editline]
deferred updates.
Would have timed out by now, they only defer for one to three months and it's been five
Who honestly does this
I'm quite sure I am proficient enough in computers and thus don't need OS ask me questions like "Do you really want to launch X? It can harm your computer". My antivirus already does the job of detecting if executable will harm my computer or not far more efficiently.
