Microsoft is just helping you rediscover your own music.
Not sure, I use foobar mostly and don't have any issues on my flac library https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1755/95f15d4f-34f7-4d13-9730-5fd57480fc2a/image.png
You say there's no issue but I see an album in there four fucking times, that's not no issues.
Is it split by artist?
Took a breather. The reason they are four albums Two releases, with two discs https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1755/048c38de-d37d-4f82-ad36-1104d827ce04/image.png
So here's the list of features removed as of 1803: Groove Music Pass People - Suggestions will no longer include unsaved contacts for non-Microsoft accounts Language control in the Control Panel HomeGroup Connect to suggested open hotspots option in Wi-Fi settings Conversations in the People app when you're offline or if you're using a non-Office 365 mail account XPS Viewer And here's the list of features put on ice as of 1803. They're still there but will be gone sooner or later: Software Restriction Policies in Group Policy Offline symbol packages (Debug symbol MSIs) Windows Help Viewer (winhlp32.exe) Contacts feature in File Explorer Phone Companion IPv4/6 Transition Technologies (6to4, ISATAP, and Direct Tunnels)
There was one dude on /g/ complaining about this hang on, there's people actually using homegroup?
It's almost as if the UI developers at MS just do whatever they feel like without referring to a common design.
I'm having the opposite problem, I want everything in English but need to keep my region set to Poland for the correct time/date display and keyboard input, and for SOME FUCKING REASON a bunch of third party programs are like "hey let's ignore the global display language and go by the region settings, it's not like the user could just be traveling or something!" forcing me to go through cfg files and registry entries to unfuck it each time
Hey it's not completely black and looks so much better than most of the dark mode apps, would you look at that
The Mail app on both PCs I've upgraded to 1803 has completely stopped working. Cool. I don't think I care enough about the app to justify trying to do a fresh install for the sake of toubleshooting, but did this happen to anyone else?
I used Debloat Windows thing thats been posted before and I need to reenable the Windows Xbox app since Forza Horizons 3 need it to cloud save and I just lost all my progress to a reinstall since it wasn't cloud saved.

Anyone know how to disable fullscreen optimisations on the current version? Seems like both Advanced Graphics Settings and Game DVR options are gone.
1803 has to be the worst update yet. Bunch of shitty new 'features' that need disabling to make the OS usable, installer now enforces having three "security questions" if you set up a local account instead of a microsoft one (which I do so I can have a properly named home folder), playback devices are now behind another layer of menus. Worst of all it appears to have forgotten how to output sound properly so it just drops the connection to the DAC arbitrarily every few minutes. WASAPI seemed to be working fine but it does the same shit as Direct Sound does just less often. 10/10 OS, can't wait to see what features the next one removes.

Yes. In the previous build, Playback Devices and Recording Devices were right above Sounds there. Now they aren't. Guess they ditched them to make room for more padding?
The way everyone keeps talking about windows updates I feel like I'm the only person that's never had a problem with them Two PCs upgraded from 8, one significantly shittier than the other, always installed everything the moment it came out, never any issues :/
It's possible to go through an update without any unintended technical problems whatsoever, most of mine have been really smooth. But there's no avoiding the removal or addition of features, which seems to be a huge problem with 10.
Anybody getting a bizarre bug after updating where the screen severely jitters back and forth when you watch a fullscreen video for too long? I tried updating my video drivers to no effect.
Why do I have the feeling they removed it because users have a really hard time figuring out which one to click when I give them instructions. Now they only have one button! And I only say that half jokingly.
or you could just use a local account for like 3 minutes during the home folder creation process then switch to a Microsoft account and it'll be fine also please enlighten me on these "features"
So it finally happened, WIndows 10 update corked my dad's laptop. Nothing works, no rollback, no restore points, the self fix thing fails....everything...what do?
Update, this only seems to occur in chrome. Firefox works fine. If you notice it early and close chrome, you can avoid the full effects, but it you keep watching the video, the jittering will become permanent until you reboot. Very weird problem. I'll just stick to firefox for a while.
After the update, windows created a new hard drive labeled E: that's 450mb large and almost full. Now it's constantly pinging me with YOUR HARDRIVE IS ALMOST FULL warning messages for this phantom drive I don't have.
You replied to a post about me making a local account and being disgruntled at having to enter three "security questions" (which reduce security) to tell me to make a local account?
but you're implying that you continually use that account as a local even after the folder is made you don't need to
No.
So I just got the new windows update some days ago and it smashed my sound pretty good. Fixed almost everything but sometimes the sound just cuts off for a sec and then comes back on. Anyone had this happen as well? I'm not using the built in realtec sound. I have an ASUS STRIX soundcard that I'm using. Could this be a compatability issue or a driver problem?
With the audio issues with the latest major update (version 1803), there seems to be one of two fixes: 1. Go to your privacy settings and enable the setting that allow apps to access your capture card/microphone. 2. Just plainly reinstall the sound drivers. Also with this latest update (Cumulative Update 2018-5 for Windows 10 version 1803), there have been reports of people's PCs just outright dying (black screen) with the people having to extract stuff from the hard drive and then reinstall Windows 10 on a new hard drive. There have also been reports of a mysterious "phantom hard drive" that's nearly full (as Ganerumo seems to have experienced). Lastly, there have been reports of entire hard drives appearing to have been completely wiped of all non-OS essential files. Basically what ended happening here is that all the files were transferred to a "phantom folder system" and people have had to manually transfer the stuff back on to their folder system proper. I guess this only reinforces the notion that it's wise to back stuff up and that Windows 10 update is garbage.
