• "EZ Flash 2" ain't so easy: File size does not match

So I tried to update my BIOS in hopes that it would solve a very annoying problem I'm having with my computer just flat-out locking up (screen goes black, system becomes unresponsive, etc), but there's a bit of a snag. I have no floppy drive, nor can I get one. I tried using the Asus EZ Flash 2 utility, downloaded the CORRECT BIOS file, put it on a thumbdrive, and it always gives me the error "file size does not match original file!". EVERY BIOS file for my motherboard (M2N-SLi) is 1MB, while the back-up I made for the current BIOS is only 512KB. To clarify: YES, I downloaded the right BIOS file. That seems to be the ONLY solution I've found through Google is "download the right file dumass lol", which I've DONE, but it's not working. Edit: Never mind, god do I feel stupid. Mis-read the name of my motherboard in the list. :downs:
I have one of those mobos kicking around, it had the same problem. I'd be interested in knowing if the BIOS update fixes it.
So far, so good. Though I won't know for sure until I have an epic 3-4 hour TF2 marathon, that's usually what did it. I know it's not the GPU over-heating because the GPU never gets above 75C in that game.
And no, it has not fixed the problem. Tried running a demo for a game and it did the same thing.
