Great, I installed the iOS5 software and it asks me to activate wirelessly, but it fails to do so every time..
Then it asks me to try and connect to iTunes but now I get "the sim card is not supported" so I can't revert back to my old version :/ I don't get it, my UUID is activated?
Anyone on Hexxeh's beta can download iOS as their UDID's are on his developer account.
Just ordered an iPhone 4, anyone think they could save me a space for a few days? Can you still use carriers if your UDID is verified?

DogGunn pm'd me saying he had done mine. I'm not sure why i'm having an issue with my SIM card though.
Verifying your UDID doesn't do anything out of the ordinary, so I'd expect nothing untoward to happen.
Ah cheers. I'll ask again when my iphone arrives. How do i find my UDID may i ask?

In iTunes, find the page with the "restore" button on. Click the serial and it will change to your UUID.

How do I revert back to a backup after installing iOS5? It doesn't seem like my UUID was activated after all :frown: I just get a "fail to activate, try again later" on my iPhone and a "sim card not supported" on iTunes.

Backups won't revert your OS version - just restore downwards the same way.
Okay, if anyone has had their UUID activated but are having trouble activating with the server or sim card unsupported..
When you are on the activation screen of the iPhone, Hit the Home button THREE times to activate voice over. Now voice over is enabled, click Home again. Before you do the next step you HAVE to act quick by holding 3 fingers to swipe down from the top; this being done after the next sentence so be prepared. Double tap Emergency Call (if you click once it only does voice).
Now, double tap the weather. The weather app should load. Click Home again and you will be on your home screen.
EDIT: iTunes still will not let me sync due to an unsupported sim card :frown:

How would I go about reverting?

Restore downwards with an older IPSW, like I've just said. (The split keyboard is pretty badass, though)
Still got 4 UDID slots left if anyone needs them.
Thanks.
Thanks.
No problem, 3 left now.

I can't restore as I get this:

I don't think mine was activated, but i've put my iPhone into DFU mode to restore if i'm able to take one of the last remaining 3? :shobon: If anybody else wants one before I can get this problem sorted then obviosuly they've got there first :v:

God damn, I can't kick it out of DFU mode now :frown:

Reserved one for you, just pm me your UDID when you've fixed your problem and I'll add it to my account.
Still got one slot left for someone.
If you want to reserve one for me i'd be extremely appreciative :) My phone's arriving before Tuesday.
Epic sandwich, when should the UDID be taken into effect? I don't want to upgrade until I know iOS5 recognizes it.

I wish I had known that :v:
I put mine into DFU mode and clicked restore in iTunes, now it's stuck in DFU mode and I can't remember what I did last time to get out of it!
iTunes doesn't even load for me anymore, I uninstalled 10.5 and reinstalled 10.3. I get The file "iTunes Library.itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes.
Should I just installed 10.5 again? How do I get out of DFU mode most importantly?
So I guess this is like the iOS 5 thread now? Maybe I should add info to the OP.
So I've updated and

:pirate:
iTunes problem sorted, going to have to keep with 10.5. Still can't get out of DFU mode :frown: If I can do that, I can go back to 4.3.3 and then wait for UUID to work.
Why does everything have to look realistic now :O

Epic Sandwich - if you've still got a slot left, would you be willing to do some trickery with provisioning profiles?

What?
pic Sandwich - if you've still got a slot left, would you be willing to do some trickery with provisioning profiles?
What kind of trickery? If you want me to make you up a provisioning profile and a development certificate so you can use your device for development, then no, sorry.

Oh, no, I was just going to do some trickery with codesigning :ssh:
When is the IOS5 being released to the public?
Fall. Probably September when they have that Apple Event.
I like how the photos app can now do so much more but what I want to see it do is have folders to organize all my photos in. Reader function looks cool, hope it removes all the ads like the one on computer too.
