Ugh, Netflix and Hulu Plus are both broken :frown:
Nevermind, fixed it. iOS5 is pretty flashy.
Does jailbreaking an iPhone take it out of DFU mode? Is it a possibility?
Well some jailbreaks actually require you do be in DFU mode to start the jailbreak, so I'd say it's worth a shot because when it's done jailbreaking it reboots and it's not in DFU mode anymore. I'm not 100% certain it'll work, just saying, might be worth a try.
Yeah you really have nothing to lose at this point.
Anyone still doing UDID's? Would appreciate if you could activate mine!
If I downgraded back to iOs 4, would I lose my backup? I have text messages that I have stored for about 4 months, I don't want to lose them ):
I'll activate the UDID's of the first 5 people that pm me with theirs, It'll be done in about 9 hours though (12pm GMT+10)
has anyone used this trick to upgrade to iOS 5 without a developer account yet? im downloading all the required files now i just want to be sure http://www.geohot.us/2011/06/how-to-upgrade-to-ios-5-without.html#more edit: dont do this it doesn't work
uhhhhhhhhhh can anyone else not change the date on iOS 5? it's set to december 31st 1969 and those are the only dates that it'll let me choose :v:
anyone got a spare UDID to give me? or want to upgrade my UDID or however it works
Well, that's fucked. I can't use my iPhone with my PC (my main computer) anymore because it's been synced with the mac 10.5 beta itunes.
uhhhhhhhhhh can anyone else not change the date on iOS 5? it's set to december 31st 1969 and those are the only dates that it'll let me choose :v:
It's normally set automatically. Make sure you've got an Internet connection and if that's not working, perform a hard reset by holding home+sleep for 10 seconds.
anyone got a spare UDID to give me?
That's not how it works. UDID is a unique device identifier and is specific to your device. You need someone with a developer account add your UDID in.
That's not how it works. UDID is a unique device identifier and is specific to your device. You need someone with a developer account add your UDID in.
He's asking for someone to register his.
Im really curious about getting this working. I don't wanna mess anything up, so when you get somebody with a dev account to register your UDID are you able to just upgrade to IOS 5 and connect to your service provider and use your phone like normal?
He's asking for someone to register his.
Oh I totally understand that, he's just got it the wording wrong.
Yup!
Oh well in that case, Anybody willing to do my UDID?
Funny, you can actually get around the UDID authentication by removing a tag in the firmware's plist :v:
Is it just me or does everything crash all the time.
When I get my developer subscription I'm going to install this.
Is it me or is this a beta
Anyone know where I can get the beta 2?
Anyone know where I can get the beta 2?
By signing up on the developer program.
To everyone who wants to play with this: It's not really worth it unless you like tons of broken shit.
Anyone know where I can get the beta 2?
There is a Beta 2? :ohdear:
If I get the beta 2, will I have to re-register my UDID?
Shouldnt have to re-register. The people selling UDID registration on Ebay and the likes are saying that it's registered for every update for just under a year.
On Windows, can you install 10.5 iTunes beta and 10.4 side by side?
Probably not...
A quick question for actual developers here: can you guys download the WWDC session videos in iTunes 10.5? It works on my Lion partition which is still running 10.3 but on Snow Leopard which I still use for most of my day-to-day development needs it's not working at all. Kind of a pain having to watch them in the browser.
