I would hardly consider a few extra cores as "completely different architecture"

Just so you know, 4gb won't help you unless you're doing dual or triple display and I would still recommend you rethink using win 7. Also that monitor is gonna shake when you type cause of the crappy stand. I have a similar Asus and I hate the stand.
