if you're on an older Nvidia card, there is nvclock. And iirc CCC does it if you're on an ATI card.
Tried it, and half the features wouldn't work. :frown:
100% 2557rpm
can barely hear it :v:
idle 45-46, load 55-56. fan stays at 30-40% :smug: xfx 4770. Temps only go up 3 degrees when at 910/1080 (from 750/800)

ok 37c but what ever

my 4770 barely reaches 36 on 100% :(. although all my stuff is in a g3 powermac case :smug:
100% Because my 8800gt has high temps and the room itself is quite warm.
100% with an HD4870. 50C-60C idle, around 80-90 under load.
I don't get why people are running it at anything but the default setting. Unless you have a really compact case, with horrible airflow, then the default setting does the job just fine.
By the way, adding 2x80mm fans to the front of my case decreased my graphic card's idle temperature by 10c, but the load temperature is still the same.
Just a tip for those who hasn't got a front fan yet.

Running my card at 50% fans, I'd probably go over 100C.
It's kind of obvious.
Those temps are fine. My GTX260 idles at 40%, 30C temps. The fan doesn't increase in speed until 80C, so I manually bump it up to 70% while gaming.
These new cards can handle very high temperatures, but what will kill them is the expansion and contraction associated with them heating up and cooling down all of the time. The ideal solution is to keep them cool all the time, but what you want to do is minimize the fluctuation in temperature. Of course, this doesn't mean make them idle hotter. If you can put up with a loud fan, turn it up before gaming and the card will most likely last longer.
Indeed ran my 260 GTX to 130C because a wire got in the way of the fan, then i burnt my finger :saddowns:
Powercolor 5870 PCS+ here....idle temps are 28C with fan speed of 30%, and it ramps up to about 62C in Furmark with fan speed around 55%.....even at 75% fan speed it is still very quiet.
[editline]05:55PM[/editline]
I'm a noise freak btw
Mine idles at 58c and gets up to 80-ish after gaming for a while. Then it conks out and crashes my computer.

My front fan always stops spinning and I have to nudge it to get it running again
I took off the front fan mount so I could fit my HDD's reversed
I took off the front fan mount so I could fit my HDD's reversed
My HDDs are sitting well above my front fan. I've got a good half inch clearance.

I don't want my card life span to be shorter.
If it constantly heats up and cools down, the board will bend albeit a slight bit that you probably won't notice.
But if the card does this enough times, the connections on the board will get minuscule cracks in them and then the card will fail.
5970 idling 46C with fan on ~20%
9600GT with 50% Idle and 100% Load.
That way I rarely go over 55c. When the fan is at 50% it is around the audible level and any higher wouldn't really be needed when idling.
XFX 9600 GT, originally passive heatsink cooling, now old thin cooler fan superglued and connected directly to the PSU because summer's a bitch here.
No idea about the speed, pretty sure it's at the same speed as a normal case fan.
36% at 36 degrees.
nice and even
GPU (browsing FP) 83*C
CPU (browsing FP) 53*C
Fan load (GPU) (browsing FP) 53%

ASUStek HD5850:
Browsing + Photoshop CS2 idle
-GPU temp 39 C°
-GPU Load 1%(Idle clocks 157/300)
-GPU Fan Speed 21%(1081 rpm)
Gaming:
-GPU Temp max 74C°(modded crysis)
-GPU Fan Speed 30%(1935rpm)
-GPU Load 99/100%
Should probably raise the fan a bit because you cant really hear 30% fan anyways.

That's awfully hot. Don't you have much cooling in your cabinet?

i constantly run my fan @ 24% and its never gone over 60c gaming
GTX 260 Core 216 PNY OCed to:
Core: 620mhz
Shader: 1336mhz
Memory: 1101mhz
40% Idle. 60-70% Load, maybe 80% most 50c when Idle. Maybe goes to ~75c load
Freaking 2-pin 9800 GTX with aftermarket zalman cooler.
100% 24/7 and it's loud as hell.
