But I don't do programming or anything that would really benefit from dual screens!
Little late here, but EVERYTHING benefits from daul screen. You may not think so, until you try it.
Lenovo forums are hilarious, they're a little scared of my posts. I was only trying to help with some guy's Lenovo S10 netbook.
Shit, just got a warning.
So whats an alternative to fraps that doesnt record UNCOMPRESSED 65 GIGIBOOT AVI FILES.

Dxtory is a good one.

Really good idea. Cisco material is nice and all, But sometimes it's way of explaining isn't working for everyone
I'v used CBT Nuggets when i'v studied, It saved my ass on several things

Well he wanted something what isn't UNCOMPRESSED!
MSI Afterburners recorder for me, just because of the same reason. Need to save my HDD space.

Bro, do you even Li-look for stuff?
Dxtory is your best bet, just find a codec that works for you. With 420 with Lagarith or UT you can beat Frap's size with same lossless quality.
Wait can Dxtory or MSI record stuff that's already compressed, or would that put an extra load while recording or something
I'd record gameplay a lot more if I didn't fill my HDD in thirty seconds
Well he wanted something what isn't UNCOMPRESSED!
Whats your point? Dxtory isn't tied to a codec, and Fraps isn't uncompressed either unless you select it.

... I don't really know.
Maybe that it is a ton easier to set up than DXtory. I ran into a few problems (Mainly laziness) while setting it up, while MSI Afterburners was a ton easier (Click click click done)
And Fraps finally fixed the 4GB thing, right?

I am both a lazy-ass and a sipwikket
hang on let me go all ballslappy funtime on my keyboard until I figure out how to codec with dxtory.
Just watch my video guide I did on it.
I love you

I'm working my way through the CCIE series on CBT Nuggets right now. I've still got half the CCNA program to take at University, so I'm hoping I've still got access to the site when I'm gearing up for the exam.
Also, did you hear that the CCNA is being updated on Sept. 30th?

I don't understand what you mean? Dxtory and fraps hook into the game and grab completely frames ready to be packaged and sent to the screen. If the image is compressed like an ingame cutscene, then it sees it as a normal RGB 8bit frame. And then encodes it to whatever codec supplied.
Your best bet is to use something like Xvid and set it to 4-5 Quality then set the speed to normal or fast.
I killed a toaster today.

They fixed it finally back in, I think, August of 2012. They were using an AVI standard from 1988 I think.

I couldn't find it so I decided to watch that paternity test video. Can you link it?
Search for "Dxtory guide". The video is called Crash Course in DXtory and has a orange-ish thumbnail.
Tell me how far up the list it is. For specific videos like this, I generally check every so often my ranking for searches like that.

DXtory Guide - 8th result.
How To DXtory - Not on the first page.
Crash Course DXtory - First
I like Logitech's support. Just got a new G500 because mine seems to be dying. Simply told them that I've tried solutions from their forums and the all the standard stuff, they just asked me for my address, part number, etc and they're sending me a new one :D

Yeah. Bit annoying to get the last possible CCNA cert before it updates. With luck and considerable amounts of coffee, I'll probably finish CCNA next week. Then it's onwards to CCNP
8th result for me too. I'll throw some more tags on it likely. I think I definitely have the best walkthrough of the software, if only people saw that. Maybe I should also do a quickstart guide on it for my recommended setup.

Thanks for the info.

I need to do that for my old G500, I assumed it was out of warranty since I bought it on release, and simply bought a new one.
I need to do that with my K90 as well, it barely functions now. I also opened an RMA for my SSD but I forgot to contact them for an advanced return.

What's wrong with your K90?
He probably spilt some fluids on it.
Media keys don't work, volume doesn't work, lights don't work, macro keys don't work, windows key lock doesn't work, occasionally it simply won't function so I have to unplug it and replug it in, and drivers say it's not installed. It comes up as a vanilla 102key keyboard.

It stopped working way before my fluids went on it.
