Do you need what the 3770k offers? HT+100mhz? Would saving money on the 3570k not be worth it?
It stopped working way before my fluids went on it.
Why did I suddenly ask myself and answered my own question about that
[thumb]http://puu.sh/2tHfC[/thumb] do i need to change anything here? or is this setup good
what the fuck are you gonna do with a 1m sata cable? Also maybe a better mobo and an i5 3570k?
Lenovo forums are hilarious, they're a little scared of my posts. I was only trying to help with some guy's Lenovo S10 netbook. Shit, just got a warning.
Link?
idk does the 3770k help on video rendering?
Yes. Any kind of encoding. But unless you edit in After Effects, I see no need for it. HOWEVER, if you do streaming it is useful!
Yes. Any kind of encoding. But unless you edit in After Effects, I see no need for it. HOWEVER, if you do streaming it is useful!
i tought you used your gfx when rendering or streaming?
i tought you used your gfx when rendering or streaming?
Nope. Current streaming programs only utilize CPU. Adobe software can be told to use CUDA (Nvidia only) - but it might take some time to fiddle around with. (And it's probaly gonna use CPU most of the time anyways) EDIT: Also, if you're serious about editing. Get a bit more ram :v: When I run premiere it just takes up 4gb RAM and then it nears max capacity (8gb). Then I run out and I can't do long RAM previews =(

Got a second copy of MK:DD today (for multiplayer LAN mode friendship destruction), and noticed it was in a black case, whereas my launch copy is a red case with a gold sleeve. After a quick google, from what I can find it turns out the gold sleeved, red cased version is pretty fucking rare (as it was only sold by HMV although I'm sure I got it from GAME), and also the TLoZ Wind Waker limited edition 2nd game disc (with OoT standard and masterquest) is also pretty hard to find. Sweet.
(no cables or screws)
Your motherboard should come with 2 sata cables. The 1m cable will be a bitch to route.
idk does the 3770k help on video rendering?
It's faster 3.5ghz versus 3.4. It has twice the threads, 8vs4, but HT doesn't always help and isn't proven to make that big of a difference. Also as for your video card doing rendering... no, only works in some programs and it only acclerates certain effects and things like resizing. Otherwise it's still completely CPU based. It's likely your GPU won't do much.
From Cali to Yonkers, NY in less then 22 hours Already loving it.

If I was you I'd get a modular PSU, they're much better for cable management. I have the same PSU and wish I'd gotten a modular one. Take a look at the modular version of the same power supply. The 1m long sata cable is a bit overkill, 1m seems quite long. I have the pro version of that motherboard also and that comes with 2 black 6gb/s sata cables. Here is a terrible quality picture of some terrible cable management caused by a combination of bad case choice, a PSU that makes it a little harder and my laziness. I live near Syracuse and Newegg always ships within a day from Edison, NJ.

So fuck all the cunts online who reviewed the DR40. They didn't mention the preamps are weaker than a mouse with leukemia. The preamps aren't powerful enough to drive a AT897 shotgun mic at decent levels, so you just have to keep pumping the level to where you get fucktons of noise. So I have a choice, either return the DR40 and get something with better preamps, or return the mic and get something with higher output since the 897, wouldjoobelieve it, is supposedly one of the quietest shotgun mics on the market. I Spent like 2 months looking at this shit and none of this comes up. Fucking shit.
Using the Surface is pretty intresting, I can pretty much use it literally like a computer. The touch screen is really responsive, REALLY REALLY responsive. Amazingly fast also, like windows 8 was made to run on this directly (Probably involved heavily in development). Really useful to carry around to meetings and open up word, outlook etc then browse the web.
It's a shame that windows 8 isn't to run on anything but tablets.
it's a shame that the surface is a very unintuitive foray into the Windows 8 tablet market the touch keyboard is only marginally better than a touchscreen keyboard too. but hey the market can only get better in time
The biggest shame about W8 is Microsoft's shitty idea to abandoned the classic start menu altogether. It would have been still okay if they had it along with the metro menu.
The biggest shame about W8 is Microsoft's shitty idea to abandoned the classic start menu altogether. It would have been still okay if they had it along with the metro menu.
it really doesn't make any sense considering all the other "legacy" shit they didn't change
So I'm listening to slacker while doing my database design lab and this happened: And after that finished, this song started playing: :tinfoil:
it really doesn't make any sense considering all the other "legacy" shit they didn't change
Which is no good really; If you use Nautilus or Dolphin they're way ahead of explorer in terms of features.
It's a shame that windows 8 isn't to run on anything but tablets.
Windows 8 may have made some steps in the wrong direction (tablet apps) but it's still a great OS
