and my potato has 3
My Galaxy Nexus has 4, though it has the NFC chip in the battery.
I wonder if I can get a NFC chip that will connect to my phone through Bluetooth so I technically can get NFC, something that is barely used...
So, my stolen phone's thief hasn't actually reset the phone, meaning that I've got all the pictures that are made sent directly to my Dropbox. I've got his face, name, official documents, license plates, living area and more all on them. Already sent them to the cops, who will make work of it tomorrow :v:

That's pretty lucky, and that thief is an idiot. Hope you get it back soon.

I've basically got everything they need to find out their living address and retrieve my stolen goods. Cha-Ching! [editline]6th March 2013[/editline] Still loving my Note 2. Not sending that back. The SII will probably be sold off/stay as backup phone. At least I'll get my SD card that was in it!

Still always good to get some sort of anti-theft
i wonder what's battery life like on it
Judging by the Droid DNA, good. Who here actually has a 64GB microSD card?
Who here actually has a 64GB microSD card?
I've got a Sandisk 64GB Micro SDXC card in my SGS i9000. Works perfectly after it had been formatted on my computer to FAT32 using an application called "GUIFormat"
New AccuWeather is way looking, although it seems to run really slow.
So I have a suspicion a group of people are mass-downvoting my link submissions. Decided to make an alt and repost the same link to see what happens. The results might be interesting.
finally abandoned the POS that is WP7 and got myself a RAZR I woo
wp7's pretty cool
wp7's pretty cool
Application support is atrocious, web browsing is okay but there isn't any flash. The Skype app is the worst application I have ever used and WP7 doesn't allow it to remain connected to the internet when the phone is locked.
Is 32gb really the max for the galaxy tab 2 sd card? I have the 10.1.

Is there a Jellybean/ICS launcher for Gingerbread with the Widgets tab in App Drawer?

It has backgrounding and push APIs. It's the app's problem. Also it applies not just to when it is locked, but when the app isn't the one displayed on your screen as well. [editline]7th March 2013[/editline] Also Flash is dead. It was a stupid feature to tout when Android supported it because it was slow and really brought more ads than useful content, and now that it doesn't officially support it Android users admit it's better off that it gets replaced.
Not better off until it has actually been replaced. Flash is everything but dead if you browse the net. It's still all over the fucking place. It's nice being still able to play flash movies, despite of it being shit. flash won't fully die before desktop browsers get rid of it. even if all smartphones in the world block flash, it will continue to be used on desktop PC's.

Lots of sites are offering HTML5 for videos now. On my desktop I use Flashblock and very rarely do I ever need to enable Flash on a website. Sorry, it isn't dead, but it is dying, and it never worked well on mobile to begin with. If platforms don't get rid of it, it'll stick around for longer. It's a good thing that content providers are basically being forced to offer alternatives like HTML5 to get content to people on mobile devices. There are obviously drawbacks, viewing newgrounds isn't very exciting without Flash, but it's that period between the transition. The only site I view that I have issues with on my iPad is the escapist, which does offer HTML5 but for a fee.
I am looking for a phone for my mum. Needs to be under £150. Unlocked or unlockable for free. Bigger screen better Jelly Bean via rom or officially or £17ish a month for 2 years with unlimited internet and texts +300ish minutes I would get her a winmo but she finds the keyboard to small, she is used to a t9
In these DOS emulators around for android, could you actually play like Warcraft 2 with touch or would it not work at all?
In these DOS emulators around for android, could you actually play like Warcraft 2 with touch or would it not work at all?
Doubt that. Not that they can't run it, but because it would be bothersome to play. COULD work with a USB OTG cable and a cheap USB mouse.

Even if it does (never used any emulator on Android), controlling the elements inside a tiny phone or tablet (if you have a 10" tablet, then it may be somewhat playable) screen would be difficult.
