You would be better off choosing the Nexus 4 if you can get it off the Play Store. You're getting pure google experience, so no added skins or bloatware. It has great specs and has a big modding community and will receive updates as quick as Google release them as well being supported longer. For your price range you really can't get anything better.
Yup. Canada has the play store so that'd be my recommendation too. The LT26 is 1.5-2 generations old.

I can't find it on their website I'm looking at their 16 GB version and I don't think that'd be enough to throw my music on. I'm also a bit concerned about the glass on both sides. Hopefully I can find an otter box for it. Can anyone vouch for it being good for stuff I'd do such as the occasional/rare skype call, semi-heavy browser usage (not youtube though), and the occasional small document editing? I might watch videos stored on the phone though for those long ass university days... :\ Is the battery life okay on it?

That's probably one of the big downsides is the amount of storage it has. What will you be using the space for anyway?

However, there's a Ballistic one already available http://www.goballisticcase.com/collections/lg-nexus-4-cases
Is there such thing as an android powder game type thing that uses the position sensing to shift the gravity? because that would kick ass. Also more motion sensing games in general.
The Elements uses the accelerometer for gravity I think. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.idkjava.thelements
In case some of you haven't noticed, stable Chrome was updated, now matches the desktop version (25).
This is my issue with the nexus 4 too
I don't ever watch movies on my N4, but I've been using Google Play for music, and I have to say it works very well. However I do have unlimited data.

Woo, I never actually knew that 20,000 free upload of songs was available in the UK. Even though I use Spotify it's still an awesome thing to have.
I would use my S3 for music, but when I use it constantly and have no battery after 5 hours. I really can't do it.
Woo, I never actually knew that 20,000 free upload of songs was available in the UK. Even though I use Spotify it's still an awesome thing to have.
I used like 2000 songs uploaded and that's pretty much my entire, small library. I should get more music.
Rumor is that the Droid Razr and Droid Razr Maxx is getting Jelly Bean. About time.
If you're willing to, flash the franco.Kernel for Nexus 4. I've done that (as well as mblunk) and it improves the battery performance by a huge amount. Also, like rhx said, turn off unwanted services as you go. Ex: if you're going to be in class for an hour, you might as well have wifi, data, and/or gps off (unless you use it in class.) DS Battery Saver Pro might be a better option for you if you don't like doing it manually and you only want it off while the screen is locked/you're not using your device.
I flashed the matr1x kernel last night. It does seem to be doing a fair bit better than it was before - although today is the first full charge since moving over. We'll see how it goes. Will give DS Battery Saver Pro tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestions.
Have you turned GPS and location history off? I'm very happy with my Nexus 4's battery. If I take it off charge at 100% at 7am, I can get through a day till 1-2am usually. I web browse, always have steam mobile signed in, always have data or wifi on. Backlight is a big killer, I always have mine on auto.
:< I like GPS and location history on - but I will give it a try tomorrow, cheers.
I would use my S3 for music, but when I use it constantly and have no battery after 5 hours. I really can't do it.
lower screen brightness turn off stuff you don't need like gps, bluetooth, wifi, 3g/4g lte/Internet access
poweramp masterrace checking in
ubermusic shame fede died, this thing should get some jelly bean updates
ubermusic shame fede died, this thing should get some jelly bean updates
I'm still waiting for my launcher pro update
Isn't Nova and Apex better?
I'm still waiting for my launcher pro update
lmfao yeah right
After seeing how launcher pro was treated, I knew he was gonna pull the same shit with ubermusic. Money well saved, I say.
After seeing how launcher pro was treated, I knew he was gonna pull the same shit with ubermusic. Money well saved, I say.
what happen? I most likely didn't have my android phone at that time.

I've got an HTC DNA and I am interested in live streaming a road trip coming up. I intend to mount my phone on my dash facing forwards so the camera can stream the road ahead. The problem I am facing is that if I want to switch to navigation and still stream I can't . Ustream, Livestream, and Justin.tv all stop broadcasting as soon as the app is backgrounded or I switch to another app such as navigation. Is there a way to: 1. Stop any of these apps from shutting down when switching to another app? or 2. Use another app entirely that supports what I want to do? Thanks...
so i feel bad that i haven't put a screen protector on my phone what's the best full body screen protector for the nexus 4? and if there isn't really any good full body ones, should i just go with the spigen? [editline]28th February 2013[/editline]
Auto on phones is so broken. It measures the brightness of your face rather than the surrounding ambient light because the sensor faces right at you. It's functionally useless. You'll never get a brightness setting that is actually appropriate for the lighting conditions you are in.
Use flux. It's worth the purchase and it adjusts appropriately.

Did you just skip over the majority of my post?
