tsf launcher is the worst thing in the world
Have you used it? It is possibly the smoothest launcher I have ever used on my SGS. Only problem is that it was too unintuitive for me to use. Next Launcher + Jellybean Theme is what I want to use but it isn't quite done yet.
-snip- Solved it.
It does have a quad-band GSM radio with a SIM slot, so it may work. However, the phone is intended and designed to work with Verizon's CDMA and 4G networks, with GSM being a backup mode when your roaming out of country. Having the phone function purely as a GSM phone may result in some wacky quirks and will definitely require some manual configuration. included.
Thank you soooo much. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks everyone else as well. Well done Android thread.
Hello everyone. I've had the HTC Droid DNA for a while now. I absolutely love it. I can't imagine having any other phone. However, I have began having the "missing sim card" issue. Apparently it is very common. No permanent solutions. Even after getting a new DNA, the problem still persists for most people. I'm scared. I love this phone so much. I don't want to get a new one. Does anyone have any info on this? Also, what other phones are out there that can even compeat with a 1080p screen? I've seen the GS3 and the Note 2... The screens are honestly really ugly compared to the DNA. I don't want to settle for something less :/
What about apex launcher?

Nova/Apex Pros: Fast, #HOLO Cons: Not very customisable
Oh yeah, my phone is now running Paranoid Android!

Just take out the SIM card, clean it up with rubbing alcohol, dry it up with your shirt or something, and then cover the plastic side of the SIM card with a single layer of scotch tape. Make sure you trim the tape so that it doesn't interfere with anything, and double check that you haven't put it on the side with the golden contacts. Put the SIM back into the phone, you will never have this problem again.
So, my galaxy s2 is totally fucked, after two years. It doesn't charge at all, and it can't read my sd card, for some odd reason. And I have a Ton of photos and stuff stored inside. Anyway to get it back? And since i'll probably change phone, what would you guys suggest? I wanted to get the nexus 4, but it's not out yet. So it's either xperia z Or htc butterfly for now, or should I wait for either the s4 or nexus?
I held an XPeria Z in my hand today. The screen is nice dead on, except for the black being gray. When you tilt it, the black looks like light gray. What the fuck, Sony.
I own a Xperia V and use it daily, with the latest JB update. and I can't see any gray where it usually is black, might be because the Vs screen is darker or something

I'm using Nova Launcher and I'm loving it so much
so, s4 or One?
Personally I couldn't go with either. I mean sure, if I'd win one, why not. But I wouldn't go and buy it on my own.
I may be able to get one for ~£80 if the price I got my s2 when it came out was anything to go on
Personally I couldn't go with either. I mean sure, if I'd win one, why not. But I wouldn't go and buy it on my own.
Why not? You'll never get a perfect phone. There will never be a phone that does everything perfectly.
Samsung is pushing towards their Samsung branded stuff with their S-[insert product here] and not so much the technical stuff.
Well that's how they're selling it, doesn't mean it is lacking in other areas
Why not? You'll never get a perfect phone. There will never be a phone that does everything perfectly.
I hate how the S4 looks (seriously WTF is Samsung thinking?), plus there's still an AMOLED display (I've had one and I feel like that was a mistake. My S2 is still amazing, but the display is starting to burn in and I hate that). The HTC One.. I dunno, everyone's superexcited about it, but I find there's nothing interesting about it for me. The most interesting 1080p phone would be the Xperia Z for me, since it's waterproof and looks pretty great, plus onscreen buttons are a huge positive IMO. Too bad the displays viewing angles are apparently terrible, it seems a bit too big already (temporary feeling until you have the phone) and the power/volume button placement is retarded.
Consumers dont care
I think the burning gets better with each iteration of Galaxys. The One LOOKS nice physically but that's not everything [editline]17th March 2013[/editline] We are consumers...
We are consumers...
We are a minority they (smartphone manufacturers) don't give a shit about.
htc one [editline]17th March 2013[/editline] it's pretty
the one looks nice and feels amazing in your had apparently, also 4.7" is amazing. and yeah iCole is right the burn in on amoled screens sucks.
if i got to choose a phone today id go with the One sexy as fuck
And thus the facepunch Android thread reveals its preference as though it was held by one.
I would personally go with the One.
