Why did you not read the thread which says op bought it from a store in China.
They will actually give a 8GB drive with the NAND IDs changed.
No they won't. The cheapest chinese-made 8GB flash drive will be almost twice the price of that.
[img_thumb]http://www.cyberbloc.de/images/uploads/usb_stick_fake.jpg[/img_thumb] i bet
By the way, do you even know the story behind it? It was suppose to be a "joke drive". Someone replaced the plastic piece of the USB connector and replaced it with a gutted "ultra small" flash drive, where the 4 pins for USB are build onto the same PCB as the flash chips. This way, you'll have a flashdrive that looked like a broken cable, and would cause quite a bit of laughter from others' reactions/confusions caused by it.

http://flashdrivefacts.wordpress.com/2009/03/26/240gb-sony-microvault-counterfeit-fake-usb-flash-drive-model-number-usm240024/ Trickery afoot. Dumbass if you bought into it like a HYIP.
On my last trip to China, I saw an SD Card with the word 64G written on it. And the storekeeper keeps on shouting "Memory Card, 64gigs only 64Yuan". I smiled and walked away.
I guess it's maybe 1-2GB and contains a trojan or something.
Dude that sucks hardcore. OP you just wasted $10.
Actually about $14
I know I got ripped. I hoped I would get atleast more than 512 mb. So here's the story: I went to the library with a good and trusted stick I had put 2 gb of media on. I moved it from the trusted stick to the computer to the fake stick(it actually says in the properties 239GB). All worked fine till I checked the pictures I moved... There were none. Instead there was a mysterious folder. As I tried to delete it the PC turned off and I left. :v:
Leave the flash drive in a really populated area. Then just watch to see how it takes before someone takes it.

At least they can copy an actual 256GB flash drive or design one that is physically greater than a thumbdrive EDIT: This is a genuine Kingston 300 256GB flash drive
Depends if he was talking gigabits or gigabytes. That's actually 8 gigabytes if he was talking about gigabits. 1 gigabit = 0.125 gigabyte
That means that it would only be about 30GB if the label was in gigabits.
Depends if he was talking gigabits or gigabytes. That's actually 8 gigabytes if he was talking about gigabits. 1 gigabit = 0.125 gigabyte
Or you could just say 8 bits=1byte
Does anyone know how to actually do this? I have a 512MB flash drive that I want to falsify to something like 1PB to show my friends.
Probably had some epic chinese keylogging software on it. Who knows you could have just injected your country's internet with a chinese supervirus.
Does anyone know how to actually do this? I have a 512MB flash drive that I want to falsify to something like 1PB to show my friends.
Its just the packaging that fools people. They're actually 512MB drives. Google how to change the NAND IDs of the flashdrive.
Sorry for the bump, but I'm curious what the usb pen actually is.
Sorry for the bump, but I'm curious what the usb pen actually is.
oh god that was a horrible bump anyway in a nutshell, these chinese faggots took a flash drive that's less than a gigabyte and edited some files in it that tell windows how big it is and made it seem like 480x bigger than it is and sold it to this poor dude
How big is it in Library's Of Congress?
fuck it im making that USB cable mod found a guide, a USB cable, a scalpel and have a 4GB drive on order http://www.evilmadscientist.com/article.php/usbkey
what website did you buy it off from exactly? Because where I live, 256GB usb drives cost ~$700
I didn't believe you until I looked it up.
