To me gaming on a laptop is just running CS:S comfortably at max.

To me it's playing Crysis on enthusiast settings with 4xaa and at a resolution of 1920x1080 at more than 40fps.
Alright, being serious once more, Acer has done nothing wrong, and they've done well for the 3 years I have had my laptop.
A more proper term would be a "Laptop used to play source games during class at low quality settings"
Lolwut, some people can't stand the idea these things might not always cost 1.5k plus.
I have a Gateway P6831FX, it cost 950, came with a T9300 CPU replacement, and can almost max Crysis with 30.

And before you all ask, yes, normally I would have gotten a desktop, I know. But I've moved across Canada more than 6 times in less than 2 years, and have never been able to sit still for very long, the ability to drag this thing around has been crucial.

When he says almost he probably means on high at 1024x600.

It was a joke.
Do you have a gaming desktop already? If not, I would get that instead.
If you want to game, you'll already be dissatisfied with a laptop's performance. If you want to spend < $750 on a laptop to game you're going to rage.
Either lower your expectations or raise your price range. Unless you absolutely need to be mobile with your computer, seriously consider a desktop.
