And I think it fits better here.
They are using a lot of Linux lately. Android and this.

well it is open source and free
Google Chrome is an alright browser name but naming the OS Chrome too sounds stupid. Name it something cool like Google Fire.

In the case of Android though it isn't Linux as you know it.

Chrome is derived from the Greek chroma, which means colour.
I guess they've got the Google logo in mind.

Actually I'm sure you can install other distros on it. I might be wrong though. WHo is it on facepunch that owns one?

Ever heard of Google Cyborg? It was an aprils fool, made this year. But really interesting to look at.
There are quite a few similarities between this fake and what we know from google so far.

If you scroll down a bit, it says thier fake.
I heard on G4 that googles primary focus is on netbooks, and that they are not making the OS for gaming or anything so why make it 64bit anyway? Also they are probably just doing this for revenge (after all "Bing" was a direct stab a google)

because 64bit is awesome.
and google is usually awesome.
except their browser.
and apparently their OS
Kind of pointless to make a 64 bit version of a web-based OS. I mean, what could you do on it that would require more than 4GB of RAM?

50 instances of google chrome, each with 10 tabs open
I visited Youtube last month, and in a google ad it said to try youtube through google chrome "for the best youtube experience", so I figured I'd try this new browser everyone's fallen in love with. I installed it, rebooted, opened it, and went to youtube, first thing. The fucker crashed for no reason in 32-bit Vista. Couldn't even open the page. I un installed it, and lost faith in the browser from then on. Hopefully their OS won't be as shitty as their browser.

that addon is nice for when there are ads that adblock misses
or random extra spaces adblock leaves behind.

Those extra spaces sure are annoying, They still make parts of MySpace and msn.com look retarded, since you still know an ad was previously there, especially since the bar above it still shows up saying "Advertisement". :P
