I got a 13" MBP (early 2011), and I use it for writing and schoolwork. Love it, even though it can't run source fully (Integrated GPU)

And I love the mouse pad so much I may buy the Bluetooth one and make my own drivers for my desktop rig :v:
Just got my Mac Mini. I'm officially in love. I'm going to go get the Magic Trackpad some time this week. I can't wait to use the gestures.

The scrolling is currently wicked awkward using a scrollwheel on a mouse.
I use my girlfriend's Macbook when I'm over at her house (as that's the only option), and I don't really care for it. I used iMac's at school for photo and video editing and it just never caught on. The only thing I can really say I like and respect about Apple is the quality of their products. Their laptops and phones are sleek, very sturdy and offer a good base for the basic functionality every computer or phone should have. Although, when it comes to hardware, upgrading, software compatibility and tweaking the OS I find it lacking. I also do not care for their planned obsolescence, it's good business, but terrible if you have users who don't have $1200+ to shell out every 3 years.
All in all I find myself using Bootcamp on my girlfriend's Mac to run Windows rather than VMWare to run OSX.
I don't hate Macs though. I just personally don't prefer them.
Back in grade 7, we were forced to use these insanely outdated Power PC iMacs and eMacs. They were really slow and I had never used a Mac before so it formed a blind hatred of all of them in me. However I recently got a MacBook Air for my birthday 6 days ago and I'm planning on using it for everyday tasks such as browsing FP, while building a core i7 Windows machine to play all of my vidya games on it. Although they're severely underpowered from what I've seen in terms of say, specs, the OS is well optimized and runs really well on mine, probably due to the SSD.
Either way I didn't necessarily switch over, I still use Windows now and then for gaming.
I bought a Macbook air for school and holy fuck it is smooth. I always have tons of applications running and tabs open and it still runs smoothly. Windows on the same spec'd laptop would be very laggy.
You know the less features you have the faster it gets? Same goes with OSX compared to W7.
Try comparing a same priced laptop :D

What? That made no sense. He was already comparing OSX to Windows 7. And that statement isn't true, it's only background processes that are actually doing something which slow down the system
