are they porting it to android or no?
it's totally not like Android uses different APIs.
Keyword "less" of course he will have to reprogram a lot of stuff. [editline]5th December 2010[/editline]
are they porting it to android or no?
I think someone on Facepunch offered to do it for notch but he declined saying that he will. But obviously it wont be for a long, long time.
While I'm here, any other good games for iOS involving randomization, creation, or exploration?
There's a Minecraft texture pack for it too. [img_thumb]http://i56.tinypic.com/n1v4ty.jpg[/img_thumb] http://www.multiupload.com/A04FZ8Q76T
How do I install this?
How do I install this?
The file comes with a read-me.
I hope he does android first
Not going to happen in a looong time, which is why I started working on one.
How well does it run, and are you going to continue it?
How well does it run, and are you going to continue it?
It runs fluidly on my HTC desire and I am going to continue it. I'll release it for free on the Android Market.
Notch could totally bring down the suehammer. The amount of pure clones of Minecraft that have been released since his success is getting stupid at this point. This one in particular is pretty bad due to the fact it is an obvious clone, making money, and most likely without the agreement of notch. As interesting as it would be, it would only be Minecraft if notch made it.
Notch could totally bring down the suehammer.
I really want him to so bad.

Indeed. And Eden is based on all of those games at once. Frankly, Notch has absolutely jack shit in terms of legal grounds.
I hope he does android first
The Android thread is pretty clean in terms of fanboy wars. How about you try to help us keep the same kind of quality by not posting immature things like that? Thanks.
It runs fluidly on my HTC desire and I am going to continue it. This is gold.
wonderful
What's he going to sue for? Minecraft itself is based on Infiniminer.
Gotta love Minecraft fanboys. They have at least something in common with MW2 fanboys, being that both groups think their game did something first.

aw, I wish Zune had something like this. I'd play it all damn day.
aw, I wish Zune had something like this. I'd play it all damn day.
It's possible to make a Minecraft-like game for the Zune too. You can use XNA.
It's possible to make a Minecraft-like game for the Zune too. You can use XNA.
Yeah, but then someone would have to do it. And that begs the question, who? [editline]8th December 2010[/editline]
It runs fluidly on my HTC desire and I am going to continue it. I'll release it for free on the Android Market.
Really? Make sure you drop a post in the Android thread when you do.
Gotta love Minecraft fanboys. The only similarity between Infiniminer and Minecraft is that they are both block based sandboxes, essentially that is their genre. So going by your logic, Call of Duty, Battlefield, etc all ripped off DOOM. Minecraft is not a flat out clone of Infiniminer like this game is to Minecraft, and many other Minecraft-likes are. Infiniminer was a competitive game where you mined resources to gain points, Minecraft is a randomly generated survival game where you mine resources to survive. There isn't much the same there really, is there?
Yeah, but then someone would have to do it. And that begs the question, who?
I believe someone was working on one, I remember seeing a clone done with DirectX that supported AA and SSAO, I think it was done in XNA at that point in time though.

Alright, I get it, one guy made an addictive game all by himself but stop pretending like he's invented all this bloody stuff.

Not that he invented the entire genre. It isn't that hard to understand. there's a reason a lot of people are trying to make these games now, and not when Infiniminer came out, because of Notch.
Let's stop talking about who did what and who didn't, and just focus on the game itself shall we? I just got it and the controls are a little flimsy. I does actually look like minecraft but it just doesn't control that well. It's pretty cool though
I actually love this. I've even found a couple of natural caves, which to be honest; I didn't expect to find on this app.

Hell, I found out how to rotate the camera by accident, for crying out loud.
