I sort of dislike how it immediately jumps into the game and expects you to know what you're doing. Hell, I found out how to rotate the camera by accident, for crying out loud.
Swiping across the screen. Who would have known that it rotates the camera?
I wish notch would make an iOS minecraft, or let somebody else do so. Somebody on here was porting mc to android, and notch told them off for it.
He took that back a few weeks ago.
I hope he does android first
He has a Desire Z, so I guess the chances are pretty good.
it's totally not like Android uses different APIs.
Most of Minecraft's code base would probably be compatible. All he'd have to rewrite was input and sound and change the rendering code a bit because the OpenGL bindings are probably a bit different.
I believe someone was working on one, I remember seeing a clone done with DirectX that supported AA and SSAO, I think it was done in XNA at that point in time though.
SSAO and AA in Minecraft? Now that's something else.
the directional controls need to be a sliding circle and not 4 arrows

the amount of fog required is disappointing
the amount of fog required is disappointing
This is with barely any optimization.
Nice. How far are you so far? What's done?
Working on the controls at the moment. I think that's one of the most important parts of this project.
I wish I had a newer iPod touch :sigh:
