You should put it under SVN so we can get the updated version much easier.
Okay, time for a small feature update. List of features in the newest version of Vapor (1.2) includes:

You can now log onto an alternate account instance. This allows you to be logged into the same account in a maximum of two locations. It makes use of the Console (PS3) logon path, and doesn't require anything except checking "Alternate Logon" in the login screen. This is only implemented when running on windows, as I'm not quite sure how to achieve this using Mono without redesigning the whole UI to use something like Gtk#.
Added tray icon. When closing the main friends window, Vapor will now minimize to the tray. (I'm not entirely sure how this is supported with Mono, so I guess I'll test it eventually.
Added a context menu item for opening a user's profile in your default browser. You can also double click the avatar or name of someone in the chat window. (it's similar to how this works in Steam)
And I believe that sums it up. You can grab it here: http://tracker.limetech.org/projects/steamre/files

So, it sort of works I guess.
STEAM CHAT FOR LINUX? I LOVE YOU.
As I am currently stuck on my mom's old Linux laptop, this is very useful for me. Although I think my video drivers are causing some issues with the UI, it still works pretty well. Can we get a way to hide offline contacts? And have it actually notify me when I get a new message?
Look one page on the bottom buddy. The newest one notifies you of a message.
Newest build only notifies on windows unfortunately, and he's using Linux. So yeah, I'd really like it to notify (and minimize to tray) on Linux as well!
Oh. My bad.
It does minimize to tray for me fine, though.
Really? On Linux? What distro/WM you using?
Really? On Linux? What distro/WM you using?
Minimizes for me on Ubuntu 11.04.
Really? On Linux? What distro/WM you using?
Linux Mint 9.
Does this support group chat yet?
Download link doesn't work anymore, could anyone post a mirror?
Download link doesn't work anymore, could anyone post a mirror?
I've uploaded all the Vapor releases to SteamRE's new home on Bitbucket: https://bitbucket.org/VoiDeD/steamre/downloads
Thanks. :buddy: This is such a useful program, especially since it doesn't need to be installed. I can use steam chat anywhere :ssh:
Any chance of an 'auto-refresh' system, or just automatic ordering of names?
Where exactly do I find the Linux download? I'm going to be in Florida for the next week and it would be very nice if I had access to Steam while I'm there.
You use mono. But there is no reason not to use regular Steam, it works fine under WINE.
There is one reason. This laptop has 512 MB of RAM. I tried installing Steam with WINE but it wouldn't even run.
VoiDeD, why does your site go down so often? It's pretty annoying for the new guys when they cannot download it.

When I try to log in it tells me "Unable to log in to Steam3. Result Code: 63" Can someone please help?
When I try to log in it tells me "Unable to log in to Steam3. Result Code: 63" Can someone please help?
Make sure you're using the latest version of Vapor. That result happens when you log into an account secured with SteamGuard, but the latest Vapor should handle it fine.
Ah, now it works. Thanks a bunch!!
