Any news on the build? I cannae wait to see the cooling system up and running.
Maybe he is waiting for the paypal money to come through from the sale of his soul to get the rest of the parts :P
Still waiting for some more tubing, also had a problem with one of the GPU water blocks which I had to sort out. Got to finish it soon though, need it for i36!
holy shit nice setup you got there

2 weeks remaining. VERY AWESOME computer.
I set a target of 4.2Ghz for everday use, can hit that easily, and could go much higher. I'll be posting loads of benchmarks/temps later on when I'm less busy

Memory is running @ 1600Mhz with specification 8-8-8-24 timings. Prime95 stable
Holy shit, nice OC man
Looks like a beastly overclock. Could you post some tips on how to overclock the i7? I'll be getting mine soon and it looks a lot more difficult than overclocking a regular CPU (same as the one you have, i7 920). What with the removal of the frontside bus etc.
Why can't I get my 920 past 2.9ghz? :(

Why would you overclock now? 3.0Ghz runs everything fine. Even if Overclocking supposedly isn't that bad for your computer there is no reason to do it unless running your applications starts to get slow.

For fun. You should know, you have liquid cooling don't you?

Buying a liquid cooling system like that and not pushing your hardware to the limit would be a sin!

Why spend so much to get water cooling if not?
You're one lucky motherfucker. Nice!

I got water cooling to prolong the life of my system because of its POTENTIAL to overclock. Sitting on my ass pushing buttons to OC isn't fun. Building the water-cooling lines is. I have and will not overclock my system until it seems slow.
Well, he built his computer to overclock and be as cool as possible, his money, his intentions.

Well thats great and everything, but most people wouldn't do that if they shelled out for water cooling.
I don't understand why so many people have discrepancies with the amount of money you spent on this and what you are using it for. Jealousy creeping out from inside I suppose.

If you are implying that I am jealous, you are dead wrong. My system is almost as good as his is. He spent more money on components but they won't be used to their full potential for a while. All I am saying is that if your computer runs crysis at 250fps why would you overclock and risk damage if you would get 300fps?
Currently, the reason why I have full watercooling is noise reduction.

there's reason to overclock, gtx 295 are slightly bottlenecked on a core i7
Nevermind

Stop being an Nvidia fantard. Currently, no GPU is really bottlenecked by an i7, even the GTX 295. I know you wish it wasn't so, but it's true.
