Your thirty inch looks small compared to that case.
Have you considered trying Windows 7 on it? Mine boots in at most 15 seconds with probably 1/8 the power your PC has, so I'm sure yours would be even faster.
Ordered my gear today, should I do a worklog on it? I'd like to, but I dunno if it's gonna get shot down in flames. Using a 240mm TFC Xchanger, 18w Laing DDC pump with res top, and an Apogee GTZ block. Very similar setup to this, but scaled down. Anyone interested in seeing it? Picked up some parts today, rest should arrive Tuesday so it'll be done by Wednesday night.
Oh and an Antec 900. Oh wait that kind of ruins it doesn't it. :D
Might as well post it. Just make your own thread pleasekthnx. The less emotardedmiddleschoolerrants we have on facepunch the better.

I had Windows 7, but due to punkbuster refusing to support it, I was getting kicked from multiplayer servers on games such as Battlefield 2 and Call of Duty 4

Yep, that's extremely lame.
so you have to build a $2000 computer to be goldmember'd?
so you have to build a $2000 computer to be goldmember'd?
Yes, that was the exact reason. Do you even know why I'm a gold member?

Most likely because you went to i36.

Yes

Anyone know of any i36 type of events that happen in the US or any on the West Coast of US?
Yes
my brother is definitely not going to get gold for going to MML
My computer is worth $2,000. :D
Gold Member plz.
Well, MY computer is worth over eighty bazillion dollars.
In sentimental value.
Say, what the hell do goldmember accounts get?
Aside from an insatiable compulsion to have animated avatars, that is.

You didn't meet Hezzy in person.
Also, he built the computer with facepunch in mind, hence the facepunch laser etching and red cathodes.
As a comparison, here's my i7 at stock with aircooling.

idle or load?
I would guess idle. Seeing those temps under load with a stock Intel cooler is really not going to happen.
I have a Thor's Hammer which is keeping it considerable cooler than my previous stock cooler (around 50 idle)
I did run the Crysis benchmark 6 times consecutively and the max was 50.

Crysis isn't much of a CPU warmer try a benchmarking program like Orthos or prime95 to get it nice and cooking.
I like y-cruncher too. That's good for a 100% load on all cores.
Everest Stability test is great. you can choose which parts of the CPU to stress like cache, FPU and core
Intelburn test is the best for seeing your CPU max temp. 30 minutes of this is like 8 hours of prime 95.

i get an average fps of 100 l4d maxed 1024x768
grats
I came.
