they're for being useless and blocking airflow at the sake of looking "cool"
whoever thought cases should have doors needs to have his head repeatedly slammed in a large heavy door until he sees sense
No, you idiot, there is still enough room for air flow.
If anything, the surrounding metal cools the air before entrance into the case.
I've got the same case. Pretty good overall, but the snap in graphics card slots didn't fit my 4870 (had to use screws that didn't come with the case).
Also, this may be a dumb question, but what in the world are those sliding covers on the front of the case for?
Odd, it fit my 4850's just fine.

Metal at room temperature, cooling down air at room temperature, to room temperature :downs:

Are you being stupid on purpose?
See, the cool thing about metal is that it seems to feel colder than room temperature. You know why? Because it's a good conductor of heat. My case is always colder than my room. Same with my iPhone, the little metal trim is always colder than the rest of the plastic.
Did you sleep through all of your life years or something?
cooler masters case are very easy to work with, i really love mine and my comp run very cool,

The reason it feels cold is because metal is a good thermal conductor AND because your body temperature is higher the the room temperature, while the metal is at room temperature.
The metal is simply cooling your hand down to room temperature by absorbing the heat difference.
I'd get a refund on your school money if i was you.
How bout the coolermaster 690?
that case is amazing, my dad has one and it's so easy to use, and is extremely spacious. You could easily fit two dual slot cards in it.

And guess what, your computer will also be higher than room temperature, hence why having metal surroundings is a good idea.

Hah, I was.
But seriously, there is enough room for sufficient airflow. There's atleast 3 inches of space, which is more than enough.
do ho ho
The only thing you're right on, is cable management, it's a bitch todo it in a hush without a dremel and a bunch of zip ties.
But the build quality is better then their earlier cases, might be because they changed to a new OEM manufacturer for their hush cases,
Hah, I was.
go back to oify. PC Hw&Sw is serious business :argh:

Apparently the build quality is pretty average, and I wouldn't be able to have that on my desk.

Try a Cosmos S, fucking sexy case. :q:
Try a Cosmos S, fucking sexy case. :q:
Even though i personally hate the looks of it, It's damn easy to-do cable management in it.
And it's also one of the "coolest cases" (in terms of temperature)
