Freind just found a invisible file on his desktop called Spirit.exe, after Norton and McAfee said "Virus Detected". This is Fishy.
For GOD'S SAKE FUCKING SHUT UP.
For GOD'S SAKE FUCKING SHUT UP.
Man you need chill seriously.
Anyone done this and installed winterboard?
Note: The request modifications cannot be applied due to required depndencies or conflicts the cannot automatically be found or fixed
...And from the it gets a lil' Fishier...
Hey, it's McAfee and Norton, two of the biggest piles of suckware in existence. Remember how McAfee fucked up thousands and thousands of computers because it though svchost.exe (the actual one in Windows) was a virus? You know how Norton is practically a virus itself? It hogs resources, is a pain to uninstall, and most of the time it STILL leaves parts of itself behind. Besides, why PAY for antivirus when there are plenty of good free ones out there? Like avast.
And malware-bytes...
Norton blocks dl.exe and Spirit says it wont load should I turn off Norton?
You should uninstall Norton. That would save you so much pain.
And malware-bytes...
There is nothing wrong with the jailbreaking software, drop it.
Can someone tell me why Cydia is giving me this error?
I approve.
Can someone tell me why Cydia is giving me this error?
Because you are installing something that conflicts with something else. It tells you this.
Missing repo maybe?
Because you are installing something that conflicts with something else. It tells you this.
Why is something conflicting on my freshly jailbroken 3.1.3 iPod Touch?
Can someone tell me why Cydia is giving me this error?
A dependency is missing e.g you need mobile substrate for SBsettings but Mobile Substrate can't be found on your sources
A dependency is missing e.g you need mobile substrate for SBsettings but Mobile Substrate can't be found on your sources
This must be because Cydia apparently can't find some sources when I launch it. Odd. [editline]05:10PM[/editline] Ah, wait, rebooted my iPod about 4 times and it's fine.
My MC model thethered doesn't need rerun of jailbreak when I reboot. :D
My MC model thethered doesn't need rerun of jailbreak when I reboot. :D
Then it isn't tethered :downs:
Then it isn't tethered :downs:
oh. iH8Sn0w told me it was :colbert:
Clearly none of you have any experience outside of windows. There is nothing wrong with Spirit and it is completely trusted and safe, and it is exactly the same as jailbreaking with blackra1n. (the end result for the user atleast.)
Can someone tell me why Cydia is giving me this error?
You don't have the dependencies and it can't find them itself. Or you have conflicting dependencies. You just need to find out what dependencies it needs or remove any conflicting dependencies. [editline]10:16PM[/editline]
Man you need chill seriously.
Not really. FreddiRox! is annoying the piss out of me also.
oh. iH8Sn0w told me it was :colbert:
Ever play tetherball. Or hear of it? The ball is connected to a rope (hence tethered). If a device is connected to another via a cord, it's tethered. If you need to have an iPhone connected (tethered) to your computer to reboot it's a tethered jailbreak. Else it's untethered.
Not really. FreddiRox! is annoying the piss out of me also.
Yes really, if he's that annoying hit the ignore button, and don't continue the argument by replying. Anyway, I'm jailbreaking now, iPhone 3GS on 3.1.3 lets see if it works. I'll be glad to have my SSH password back and to not be tethered. Edit: Fast jailbreak! Took a second, literally. All works fine so far.
3GS untethered is so beautiful isn't it?
I'm likin' this jailbreak.
Not really. FreddiRox! is annoying the piss out of me also.
I tend to do that. It just', im involved in jailbreaking and have been for a while - I thought comex wouldn't release under his name only, what a whore, the CD team even helped him dev and test parts of it. Also I didn't know about this till two weeks ago and thought "that's unusual, GeoHotz is pondering on his blackra1n and comex goes ITS HERE!" But, yes, It works well and my PC didn't die.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU [editline]09:48PM[/editline] I THOUGHT IT SUPPORTED EVERYTING??? /caps [editline]09:51PM[/editline] Now it works?
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU [editline]09:48PM[/editline] I THOUGHT IT SUPPORTED EVERYTING??? /caps
You can jailbreak the 2G non-MC with blackrain. Restore to 3.1.2.
I have an MC model, but that doesn't matter, Spirit is working now.
Whats the best way to back up my Cydia Apps before restoring my iPod for spirit. I'm not assed wading through Cydias interface and I can't get Cyder to work either.
What's the difference between this and Redsn0w...?
What's the difference between this and Redsn0w...?
this works on all devices, are you slow or something? read the OP.
