Whats the best way to back up my Cydia Apps before restoring my iPod for spirit. I'm not assed wading through Cydias interface and I can't get Cyder to work either.
AptBackup. Rock has a backup function too, but it doesn't work with a lot of repos.
this works on all devices, are you slow or something? read the OP.
So does RedSn0w... That's what I've been using the past two weeks.
So does RedSn0w... That's what I've been using the past two weeks.
Yeah except this is UNTETHERED for the iPod Touch 3G and iPhone 3GS.
Small question, does AppSync for 3.1.2 also work with 3.1.3? Apparently it does, just tested.
So does RedSn0w... That's what I've been using the past two weeks.
Oh god you're dumb, every damn thread I've seen you in I leave disgusted. [editline]04:54PM[/editline]
Yeah except this is UNTETHERED for the iPod Touch 3G and iPhone 3GS.
And for the iPad.
And for the iPad.
Forgot about that one ;)
I jizzed my pants when I was able to turn my 3GS on without having it plugged in.
Yeah except this is UNTETHERED for the iPod Touch 3G and iPhone 3GS.
Uhm... Untethered as in, you don't have the ability to share your internet connection with a computer? Because I can do that just fine with RedSn0w...
Jesus Christ, I'm going to say Muscar is right in that you are an idiot. When referring to jailbreaking, untethered means you don't have to have your iDevice plugged into your computer to turn it on. Unplugged = untethered.
Uhm... Untethered as in, you don't have the ability to share your internet connection with a computer? Fuck that shit. I'll try this thing out anyways, as it's apparantly SOOOOOOOO different from the one I've been using for so long.
Anyways - once again, I can do that perfectly fine with RedSn0w...
some of us own the ones with the updated bootrom so we can't do that with fucking redsnow
RedSn0w + Downloaded 3.1.2 Firmware = Jailbroken iPhone with 3.1.3 firmware installed.
Fuck that shit. I'll try this thing out anyways, as it's apparantly SOOOOOOOO different from the one I've been using for so long.
if your current one is untethered this one is exactly the same. don't bother [editline]05:59PM[/editline]
RedSn0w + Downloaded 3.1.2 Firmware = Jailbroken iPhone with 3.1.3 firmware installed.
it's still fucking tethered
Well excuse me for not being a jailbreak genious... Anyways - once again, I can do that perfectly fine with RedSn0w...
Well whoop-de-doo-da for you. You obviously don't have the 3rd Gen iPod Touch or an iPhone 3GS, both of which required you to plug them into your computer and re-run your jailbreak in order to get them to boot back up. Until now that is.
RedSn0w + Downloaded 3.1.2 Firmware = Jailbroken iPhone with 3.1.3 firmware installed.
Uh, no. Read. "Updated bootrom". RedSn0w doesn't work.
Uh, no. Read. "Updated bootrom". RedSn0w doesn't work.
Explain why it does.
Explain why it does.
I don't know about the 3GS, but it does not work with the Touch 3G.
Explain why it does.
the ipt3 and 3gs have an upgraded bootrom which prevents the jailbreak from starting with the device, causing it to not boot until you connect it to a pc and rerun the jailbreak
Because the new bootrom was pretty much SPECIFICALLY made to break every existing jailbreak method at the time. Spirit is the first jailbreak to successfully circumvent it.
Explain why it does.
You don't have the upgraded bootrom, as you're running an older revision iPod/iPhone, therefore your jailbreak with redsnow is untethered.
Oh well. I already restored my phone, and I'm waiting for it to complete so I can try this thing out. Always cool with a clean start. [editline]07:15PM[/editline] Whoa, that was quick...
Used this yesterday, had to go through the hassle of resetting my whole iPod because it took too fucking long to make a backup of it. Then I just threw that shit on.
It works :) And it's uber fast
Might run this through my phone again, I don't need to, but I want to clean some of my shit up. I think...
I downloaded it through their site and it doesn't crash for me on W7
I downloaded it through their site and it doesn't crash for me on W7
It did for me, so it should stay on the OP.
Geez, Cydia loads up in like 5 seconds!
Geez, Cydia loads up in like 5 seconds!
That's because it's a clean reinstall, no shit to reload, your iphone hasn't suddenly got a speed boost. Are you like the new iEzerith or something?
