BlackRa1n was praised for being the fastest Jailbreak... This is a hell of a lot faster! Half a second, at most!
Ever play tetherball. Or hear of it? The ball is connected to a rope (hence tethered). If a device is connected to another via a cord, it's tethered. If you need to have an iPhone connected (tethered) to your computer to reboot it's a tethered jailbreak. Else it's untethered.
Reposting because of the arguments.
Does it even matter? You have to do it like once.
Yes, it does. Because the more time it takes, the more chance my idiot friends will do something stupid. It's happened before. They've actually bricked their devices, because they tried to fiddle with it while jailbreaking.

Done, now I just have to wait for all my apps and music to resync, which should be around the time 4.0 comes out... It is a lot nicer then Blackra1n though, looks a lot more streamlined.
This is good for people who turn off their iPod off all the time. but I never turn off or reset my iPod, and when I do I'm beside my computer anyways.
That's because it's a clean reinstall, no shit to reload, your iphone hasn't suddenly got a speed boost. Are you like the new iEzerith or something?
Hurrrrrr...
It affects NOTHING during use of the device. The only difference compared to blackra1n is the fact it is untethered.
I know... Just looks nicer is all.
Hurrrrrr...
Wait no you're just 14. My bad.
Wait no you're just 14. My bad.
You don't act that mature yourself.
Wait no you're just 14. My bad.
Most of facepunch is 14. Some are just more immature than others. Maybe immature isn't the right word. He just doesn't know how to socialize on a forum.
Wait no you're just 14. My bad.
Ehum. I said: "Hurrrrrr" [editline]11:58AM[/editline] I'm going 15 in 20 days, if that helps.
Most of facepunch is 14. Some are just more immature than others. Maybe immature isn't the right word. He just doesn't know how to socialize on a forum.
Exactly. There are numerous amounts of young members (heck I'm one) on Facepunch that are mature, although there is indeed more that are imma-idiots?
Got it, worked fine with a clean 3.1.2, besides me having to download 'appsync' for os 3.1 (while I have 3.1.2. No tether (Itouch 2g MC model)
Not a single problem backing up my blob, and installing was a breeze on my iPad. I am testing how badly multitasking affects battery life.
Ehum. I said: "Hurrrrrr" [editline]11:58AM[/editline] I'm going 15 in 20 days, if that helps.
IQ =! age
C'mon let's not have a age debate. It doesn't matter what age you are really, Anyway Anyone else got the error about a Malformed line in Cydia? [editline]10:35PM[/editline] NVM, fixed
IQ =! age
I can't believe how incredibly slow you guys are.
Are you like the new iEzerith or something?
HHHUUUURRRRRR
I can't believe how inredibly slow you guys are. HHHUUUURRRRRR
Shut the fuck up. Unless you're trying to insinuate you're actually iEzerith, in which case, I'm not surprised. (User was banned for this post ("Flaming" - Hexxeh))

Perhaps a silly question, but having already jailbroken my phone using blackra1n, can I simply run this now to enable untethered goodness?
:downs:
Stop being so goddamn cryptic. [editline]11:15PM[/editline]
Perhaps a silly question, but having already jailbroken my phone using blackra1n, can I simply run this now to enable untethered goodness?
Nope. You're gonna need to restore. Take the opportunity for a fresh start. And after all, it's not such a big event as, say, reinstalling windows.
I can't believe how inredibly slow you guys are. HHHUUUURRRRRR
Nice spelling.
Stop being so goddamn cryptic.
I'm just going to leave it at that and have you figure it out yourself. Unless you're being sarcastic.
cool jailbreak. first my ipad got stuck on a spinning load icon so i rebooted it. not it's stuck on the apple logo.
Ok so riddle me this: iPod Touch 32GB 3G + Spirit Jailbreak = Unteathered Jailbreak?
Ok so riddle me this: iPod Touch 32GB 3G + Spirit Jailbreak = Unteathered Jailbreak?
Yes.
Yes.
:byodood: [editline]07:46PM[/editline] Is it safe to update to 3.1.3 and the jailbreak work fine?
