:byodood: [editline]07:46PM[/editline] Is it safe to update to 3.1.3 and the jailbreak work fine?
Yes.
ok i got to restore my ipad back to apple firmware. re-jailbroke it and its stuck on the spinning loading icon AGAIN. what am i doing wrong?
Cool.
Oh....so that's what the jailbreak was that I did yesterday. I downloaded something from megaupload expecting it to be that "make it rain" thing but it turned out to be "spirit" (which I knew nothing about) so I just used that. Fuck yes, I have an updated jailbreak.
OK, just to get this straight. Will my 8gb 2g ipod touch be able to be jailbroken with 3.1.3?
OK, just to get this straight. Will my 8gb 2g ipod touch be able to be jailbroken with 3.1.3?
YES. As stated numerous times in this thread, it's a jailbreak for ALL IDEVICES.
ok i figured i'd ask this here. i have an ipod touch 3g on 3.1.2 i jailbroke with blackrain awhile back and was wondering if i have to restore it before jailbreaking with spirit.
Is this any harder to use than blackra1n?
Is this any harder to use than blackra1n?
I've never used blackra1n, but spirit only took 5 seconds to work for me
I may aswell rejailbreak mine..
Hey i am just asking couple questions. Does jailbreaking with spirit damage or make your iPhones' software to glichy / buggy? Does it damage your 3G web searching and make calling to hang up? And i have heard somewhere apple is going to block jailbreakers from using iTunes and banning their accounts, is this true? -Komppu Derp herp derp. Ps: answer so i can go and jailbreak.
Answers so i can start the party.
Answers so i can start the party.
I don't have an iPhone, only an iPod touch, but I can tell you that it hasn't bugged my iPod, nor has it messed with my internet connection. Itunes and the app store still work fine for me, and nothing has gone wrong with my iPod (so far) and if anything does go wrong, you can always just restore your iPhone.
Answers so i can start the party.
NO, no and no. The only problems it will generate are if you install bastardized packages, which are damn near impossible to get off a default repo.

[editline]08:03PM[/editline] If you would give more information i would be pleased.
I believe the only way you could risk disrupting your 3G/Phone connection is if you tried to unlock it. Which is a different thing from jailbreaking.
And since Spirit doesn't unlock, that shouldn't cause problems there. My 3GS and a friend of mine's 3G are JB'd on spirit, and our network's been just fine.
I tried out the spirit jailbreak the other day because my sister wasted all my battery playing Tetris, and when I tried to reboot my device using Blackra1n it refused to work. Something to do with having updated my iTunes (ugh). Anyway, I restored and was amazed at how easy it was. Runs flawlessly. I can even turn my 3GS on and off (!)

It works for everything and doesn't change anything. All it does is add cydia. From there on out anything that goes wrong is your own fault. Stop asking questions now, or just read the thread.

It only happened once out of the 5 devices I've used it on though.
