4GB is more then enough for gaming. That's Quad Channel Ram. Dual Channel will give better speeds. [editline]02:32AM[/editline] Something on my list is out of stock?
no, its that graphics card that ButtsexV2 posted ......I want it...
I would buy a cheap-ish CPU and spend the money on a really good GFX card (or two), unless you want to play Crysis and GTA.
Fun fact: GTA IV is more CPU intensive than it is GPU. Also getting a cheap CPU will hinder your GPUs full abilities.
no, its that graphics card that ButtsexV2 posted ......I want it...
The 2 5870 will give a slightly better performance or else I would have post a build with that 5970 (Was going to do that when I started building the list.)
Im going to be using it for gaming....and it would be nice if you guys could reccomend stuff that's in stock because I dont like wating 4 or 5 months for a part
Calm yourself. Everything on his build is in stock. [editline]03:12AM[/editline]
Spending 2k on a computer, and only having 4gb of ram?
http://www.digitalstormonline.com/ Problems solved.
No. Prebuilts give you shitty price:performance.
http://www.digitalstormonline.com/ Problems solved.
I'm not even going to waste the effort, just slap yourself.
You can buy the parts without them being prebuilt you know?
You can buy the parts without them being prebuilt you know?
That makes no sense. Yes you can buy parts and build them yourself.
You can buy the parts without them being prebuilt you know?
That's what we're doing here in PC Building. Except we use Newegg.com because it's the best place to get PC parts.
Forgot to ask, do you need an O/S?
Forgot to ask, do you need an O/S?
windows 7
Damn, so you do need it. Alright, let me remake my build. [editline]03:52AM[/editline] http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=17074768 [editline]03:53AM[/editline] Had to sacrifice the SSD
I would buy a cheap-ish CPU and spend the money on a really good GFX card (or two), unless you want to play Crysis and GTA.
Get out. . .
Forgot to ask, do you need an O/S?
It's OS, not O/S.
4GB is more then enough for gaming. That's Quad Channel Ram. Dual Channel will give better speeds. [editline]02:32AM[/editline] Something on my list is out of stock?
No its not... Get 6 gb...
No its not... Get 6 gb...
Yes it is. And 6 GB would actually decrease performance in this setup. You want dual channel RAM.
Ok sorry everyone. I'm just over here in minimum wage world so I must not know anything or am unable to give out complements. :downs:
Dam i would love to build a 2k PC - Im deaf so not alot of high paying jobs for me :L

He needs Dual Channel RAM. And get a WD Black, it'll increase his speeds. And why pick one of the new i5's? It's a dual core with a higher stocked clock speeds with integrated graphics, that's why it's expensive. The i5 750 would be a much better bang for your buck.
Where do you get that money you lucky bitch ha :) Go for a 5970 with a low i7 or save money with an i5, then in the future you can get a mobo that supports 4core gpu and get 2x5970 and destroy everything
