if you use combo deals and whatever enough, lower a few things, and get rid of the ssd, should be able to squeeze 2 5970s into this build
if you use combo deals and whatever enough, lower a few things, and get rid of the ssd, should be able to squeeze 2 5970s into this build
See, I was going to do that except the thing is, NewEgg ran out of 5970 for a while, or whenever I look for it. That's why it's going to be 5850/5870.
well you could just WAIT
well you could just WAIT
but you dont know how long you will be waiting, nor how much time you have before they go out of stock again.
well they tell you when they're restocking..
I would buy a cheap-ish CPU and spend the money on a really good GFX card (or two), unless you want to play Crysis and GTA.
Not sure if this has been replied to or not, but this is a really bad idea. Most DX9 based games that are still good require a bit of Cpu usage, at least if I have my facts straight... :raise: [editline]08:09PM[/editline] I base this on experience, 2.6 GHz single core doesn't roll these days.
Man, I always look in these thread to see what I will never be able to afford. Fuck. :frown:
You guys are rubbish. The only builds I've seen are pretty bad, and uses $200 on the case alone. This would be so much simpler if you had posted what you were going to use it for, so we could exclude shit like TV tuners, bluray readers, and other pointless and expensive media shit. :colbert: [editline]09:44AM[/editline] MSI P55-GD65 - $160 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130239 4x SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB - $360 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185&Tpk=HD103SJ Intel Core i5-660 Clarkdale 3.33GHz - $208 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115219 2x Crucial Ballistix Tracer 4GB (2 x 2GB) - $234 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148327 2x MSI R5870-PM2D1G Radeon HD 5870 - $800 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127449 NZXT ZERO 2 - $90 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146054 CORSAIR CMPSU-750HX 750W - $150 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139010 Pioneer Black 22X DVD+R - $35 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827129045 Total price: $2037
If they're so bad then let's see what you can do. And the reason the cases are expensive is so they can have room and keep your parts cool.
A case is only expensive because it's been made of a thicker material, or has been designed, or has a brand's name on it. Usally the fans that comes with cases, are shit and can be replaced with a much better alternative for $10 more. And "so they have room", it depends on the size of the case, not the price tag. Whenever it's Full-ATX, Mid-ATX, or µATX is what tells you if you have lots of space or not.

Almost 90% of the time, the full tower will cost more. Some cases are crap but costs just because of it's brand, that is true. And if you looked at the builds up there then all the cases are full towers, hence why they cost more.
I can... :iia:
How did Crysis crashed with crossfireX? Thats weird. And it even says "Higher is Better" on the top right. I mean seriously, WTF??!! But anyway, I think it's the game that can't handle the card, instead of the other way around :/ And the fuck, even a single HD 5970 beats my card more than 100% FPS (The GTX 295)!!!!! DAMN !!! This is wayyy too OVERKILL !!! I bet getting an extra 295 would still lose to this monstrous HD 5970.
Make sure you buy at least a gross of assorted color LEDs
HAF 932 is an ugly piece of shit in my opinion
I think it looks pretty nice.
well i prefer things to look simple and streamlined thus why i have this (on the way) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112243 however i'm not going to lie and say it wasn't expensive or anything like that [editline]12:58PM[/editline] i wish the fans didn't have LEDs but whatever
HAF 932 is an ugly piece of shit in my opinion
You opinion doesn't matter on cases. Just the quality of the product and coolermaster has fine quality.
