i did all that, my first case mod, all for about 10 bucks with everything (including the window which isn't shown)
You said $70 earlier and then $60, now you say you did all of that for $10? Hilarious. You can just buy a K62 for cheaper.
You said $70 earlier and then $60, now you say you did all of that for $10? Hilarious. You can just buy a K62 for cheaper.
The modding was 10 dollars.
Nice job cutting a big ugly hole in your case. Also, your attempt to hide your CPU power connector is laughable. By the way, why in the world would you buy a Zalman CPU cooler? Talk about overatted...
why does everything come to looks
1.big ugly hole - I don't give a rats ass that a big ugly hole is there, it moves away the cables
2. cpus dont have power connectors you dolt, they go in a socket
3. the zalman i got on sale for 20 dollars, and i my cpu is currently oc'd from 2.6 to 3.5 at 55c max load
good fan
A "standard PC user" wouldn't be building a computer in the first place. Way to go Einstein.
Alright smart-arse, how often do you think the standard custom self-built PC user would need to do this?
he doesn't need a fucking 130 dollar case for a beginner build
I have a 300, and i think it's wonderful, I've modded it to include everything you've said, black interior, 5 fans, a window, dust filters, cable management holes, and that adds up the total to about 70 dollars on everything
lian li = not worth it
now that i think more, 60 dollars actually
.
The modding was 10 dollars.
rrrrrr
yea a total of 60 dollars
case + mods = 60 dollars
just to clear that up
2. cpus dont have power connectors you dolt, they go in a socket
Oh my. You really do have a severely limited understanding of hardware. Bravo.
3. the zalman i got on sale for 20 dollars, and i my cpu is currently oc'd from 2.6 to 3.5 at 55c max load

>Good cooler
>Cheap cooler
Make your pick.
Zalman CPU coolers have been proven over and over in tests that they are inferior to coolers by Xigmatek, CoolerMaster, Thermalright, Scythe... the list goes on.

The CNPS9700 is actually a very good cooler.
Alright smart-arse, how often do you think the standard custom self-built PC user would need to do this?
When they want to upgrade from their stock cooler to something of much higher quality, and I can tell you that this has definitely happened among my friends who have custom built PCs.

Inferiority doesn't make them unusable.
And so is the CNPS10X Extreme.
it was on sale from 50 dollars
good + cheap :science:
and cpus don't have power connectors jesus christ
You said $70 earlier and then $60, now you say you did all of that for $10? Hilarious. You can just buy a K62 for cheaper.
Finally, someone on these forums with a brain.
When they want to upgrade from their stock cooler to something of much higher quality, and I can tell you that this has definitely happened among my friends who have custom built PCs.
Probably because you recommended them a cooler because they were 1C higher than they should have been.
You could have bought a V8 or S1283 with push/pull config for $50.
Finally, someone on these forums with a brain.
Because you obviously have one.
Wow this thread is getting ridiculous.

I can't post without someone else posting before me.

Oh I just did it, amazing.
and cpus don't have power connectors jesus christ
Really? Explain this:

He's talking about this one.

I think what he meant is that the physical CPU does not have any "cables" coming from it.
that's the 12v connector for the motherboard
I'm confused now im not trying to hide it i just moved it out of the way behind the mobo tray
He's talking about this one.

Uh, that's a 4 pin connector for motherboards that require more power...?
Really? Explain this:
That's to power the CPU through the motherboard, the CPU doesn't receive power directly from the power supply, which is what you've been implying.
Uh, that's a 4 pin connector for motherboards that require more power...?
Oh shit, your right.
Inferiority doesn't make them unusable.
I can buy a cheap piece of crap CPU cooler and it'll be usable. The point being that you people are settling for cheap/overrated parts instead of getting the actually good/worthwhile products.
Because you obviously have one.
Again with the personal attacks. I believe the rules of this sub-forum state "not to be an ass" or somewhere along the lines of that.
That's to power the CPU through the motherboard, the CPU doesn't receive power directly from the power supply, which is what you've been implying.
Why are you trying to make an argument out of everything?

you are being an ass
stop

It also states "Don't use the above rules against a user. Help or don't reply." which includes pointing out somebody being a dick.

I mean really, it's just becoming downright asinine to the point where you're going to start complaining that he has a 0 in his name.
Why are you trying to make an argument out of everything?
Why aren't you?
