It may be that the way you have your cover images set up is not the way covergloobus supports it. Which would normally be fine because: If you still have no cover, try seeing if you can get to albums on Amazon.
Clementine fetchs them automatically, and I have the covers.
I am being curious about one little thing. Does Linux still support Matrox graphics cards?
Not sure if Ubuntu or other main stream distros do, but I couldn't find any packages with "matrox" in their title in the entirety Portage on Gentoo, and not in the x11 overlay either. [editline]28th October 2012[/editline] But the kernel probably does, you'd just have to use the vesa drivers for it.
If you're running the same copy of an OS on multiple computers, how would you go about video drivers?
Install them all as modules and load the relevant one manually on boot?
Install them all as modules and load the relevant one manually on boot?
How would one go about doing something like that for Linux Mint 13?
if you stick to the open source drivers that should work just fine with no extra work I think any distro will have any video driver you need installed out of the box, just don't fuck it up with proprietary drivers and you'll be good.
Well, I figured there was something wrong with my video drivers because ZSNES only wants to open on select computers - the school computer and my desktop. Maybe I should stop being stupid and try to open it through the terminal to see if any error messages come up. ;D I just thought of that now.
I installed arch to a USB stick the other day. According to arch, the usb stick it just booted off is corrupt and cannot be repaired. According to my other arch PC, what usb stick? [editline]28th October 2012[/editline] And according to the arch wiki, what initramfs?
Is there a way to combine all the Skype windows in Linux? I hate to have 3 windows just to get my skype going on.
Considering to install Ubuntu on my computer. I rarely use it for gaming (usually exclusives when I do), so would this be a good decision?
Is there a way to combine all the Skype windows in Linux? I hate to have 3 windows just to get my skype going on.
Skype is owned by Microsoft. It isn't going to work on GNU/Linux without a fight now is it?
Is there a way to combine all the Skype windows in Linux? I hate to have 3 windows just to get my skype going on.
Some WMs/DEs allow you to combine windows into one big tabbed window. Not sure that's exactly what you want but it works
Is there a way to combine all the Skype windows in Linux? I hate to have 3 windows just to get my skype going on.
Huh? Sorry what? I have one login/base/contacts window, then one for all chats. In every WM. Skype 4.0.0.8 here.
Skype is owned by Microsoft. It isn't going to work on GNU/Linux without a fight now is it?
They actually released a few new versions for Linux since the MS acquisition (although I wouldn't count on it being updated for long).

skype is terrible on both linux and windows anyways shame there aren't many alternatives to it.
skype is terrible on both linux and windows anyways shame there aren't many alternatives to it.
Let me know if you find ANY alternatives with the same functionality, that doesn't require you signing up on obscure SIP websites.
Is anyone else in here excited for the Lightworks alpha on Linux? Just two more days! And then sometime soon the Steam beta should start!
Is anyone else in here excited for the Lightworks alpha on Linux? Just two more days! And then sometime soon the Steam beta should start!
They say it will be tomorrow at the UDS.
They say it will be tomorrow at the UDS.
I really hope so. Even if I'm not in the beta and it lasts for months I will be excited just in knowing that it's happening. Lightworks is more practical software, though, because I havn't yet found any powerful video editing software for linux.
Mumble? Although that's more for games, and requires the users to be on the same server in the same "room". I wonder if one could make a decentralized alternative to skype, probably with some inspiration from the torrent "evolution"
I'm just annoyed about stuff in Linux which makes me go to Windows, and then I still wan't Linux, however I'm not into dual-boot. I mean, work based Linux is alright since I only use my laptop for Wordpress and some work in Photosop (which in Linux my alternative would be GIMP)
I am ultra-happy. I am now using systemd instead of initscripts. Everything runs fuckfast without any little issues. Adding daemons is a piece of cake. I absolutely love Arch Linux. And its bleeding edge packages.

systemd > everything

I'd recommend it over anything else (Skype, TS3, Vent, etc.) It's got the best Linux support, server and client - it took about five minutes to set up on my VPS and two on my Arch box. You can "link" channels, so that even if people are in different channels, you can still hear/speak to them.

So, Steam beta access has been given to the people who were at UDS, when Valve speaked. I would go, but I'm anywhere near close UK, or wherever it is.
So, Steam beta access has been given to the people who were at UDS, when Valve speaked. I would go, but I'm anywhere near close UK, or wherever it is.
that's not fair :saddowns:
