Are there any ways of remote controlling a Windows Server 2008 from a Lubuntu system by connecting to the Windows Server default remote control?
Are there any ways of remote controlling a Windows Server 2008 from a Lubuntu system by connecting to the Windows Server default remote control?
Doesn't VNC work for this?
Looks like it doesn't

I suck at using the terminal, I have it installed but I don't know how to use it. The command I use is
rdesktop IPGOEESHEREEREEEEE -u USER -p A PASSWORD
Should I get LTS instead?
A Nvidia developer revealed that the Steam Linux Beta will be open today. http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1210344&p=38340785&viewfull=1#post38340785

oh that reminds me I have to update my drivers yet
Speaking of nVidia, is anyone else experiencing weird display corruption in X with nvidia 304.60?
Speaking of nVidia, is anyone else experiencing weird display corruption in X with nvidia 304.60?
Me, but only in the loading time between lightdm and the desktop environment. It's like a weird mosaic, but it¡s not a problem for me, because it only happens in that time.
Don't remember any problems from 304.60 myself. Wait actually no, sometimes during the login period the screen turns to a sort of artifacted mess and right to black again (but it gets to the DE just fine)
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS wen't to additional drivers and activated the one without the (post-release.updates), OpenJDK Java runtime 6 and Minecraft hits around 60 FPS without anything, this is pure Ubuntu unity and no mods. Good? [sp]should i go get Xubuntu instead? or some other DE, i mean i like XFCE but if i install it as a DE it ruins my login screen to say Xubuntu :([/sp] [editline]6th November 2012[/editline] page king
Actually ignore that turns out the terminal I'm running X in is capturing my keyboard input and printing it in the same graphics buffer in a really weird manner. The bigger corruption disappeared when I pressed printscreen, but here, near the title you can see the pattern the terminal cursor leaves when it blinks on an empty (last) line. Seriously, what the fuck is going on how do I solve this
d'aw it was worth a shot
d'aw it was worth a shot
It really was. I'm going to use it though, on another account of mine.
I seem to be missing a dependency, all I get is:
Installing breakpad exception handler for appid(steam)/version(1352224866_client)
The .steam directory actually contains a tenfoot folder, so maybe BPM is in the beta? there is also that huge button but I can't click it quick enough
Also Steam is in AUR, rad
steam://open/friends Opening Steam this way will skip the license check. It will be fixed shortly, I imagine.
That's OK steam, do whatever you feel is necessary with my home directory. Prefer to crash? That's OK too. :suicide:

Having trouble installing from the AUR, so I'll just give it a day or two to sort itself out and I might have a key by then
Thank you! Consequently, what is the best way to satisfy AUR dependencies with makepkg? Packer doesn't like using local tarballs...
Use your favourite AUR helper to install the packages manually. There aren't that many and makepkg lists all the missing ones.
