Yes it can run new games.
Overpriced. And get new Intel processors, they are beast
really? these are prices from ordering the parts direct from the company
The 6850 is on par with a 5850, (The number for the high end gaming cards has been going down for some reason.)
Look at the performance revieuws for the 6850.
Also: please just get a 1500$ computer, 3000$ is just stupid, escpecially since you seem to have no clue what you are doing and what is: 'good'
It's good but very overpriced. Also, go start your own damn thread in PC building.
I dunno if this is content, but:
Some time ago, a certain mac owner (mildly fanboi-ish) explained to me that even though his computer and mine had about the same specs his would outperform mine, because the mac OS natively utilises the system resources better and if i were to install a mac os i would receive a significant boost in performance. Since i didnt know if this is true or not i did not reply.
Is it true or content?
I somehow doubt you're ordering the hardware 'directly from the company', company being the manufacturer.
That PC isn't worth $3k, no PC is worth $3k, especially not worth it when Intel is about to release new processors that'll beat the living crap out of it for half the price.
no, I seriously use Norton 1999. This is getting annoying.
:v:
The 6850 is closer to a 5770/5830 in terms of performance. 6870 is a bit better than a 5850.

That is roughly worth $1000, disturbingly overpriced.

broke my automerge :(

the $3000 also covers the 24 inch moniter, gaming keyboard/mouse and sound system
$1500 then.
the rig itself is about $2000
So they're just charging whatever the cost of the computer is for their service?
the $3000 also covers the 24 inch moniter, gaming keyboard/mouse and sound system
Still not worth it.
$200 worth of screen, $150 worth of keyboard and mouse.
I'm ordering the parts and building it at home

The 6870 is between the 5870 and 5850 from what I've seen, mostly similar to the 5870 in terms of performance.

First time experiencing slowpunch.
price also includes shipping ect
Looking at laptops on edbpriser.dk, and the mass ammount of laptops with insane ammounts of terabytes for storage amazes me.
Is it really that hard to think twice before writing "640TB"?
price also includes shipping ect
I bought your mom's virginity for $3k. It also included shipping.
The 6870 is between the 5870 and 5850 from what I've seen, mostly similar to the 5870 in terms of performance.
That's exactly what I said.
That's exactly what I said.
Sorry, don't know how I misunderstood "a bit better than a 5850". I would still say it's more "a tad worse than the 5870" is a better description, though.
should I really make a seperate thread?

Yeah, you should defiently make your own thread.

Half-content. Macs use system resources more efficently than a Windows system (windows memory management is balls), therefore a Mac requires less RAM to run applications at a comparitive speed. but you can't install Mac OS on a PC without hacking, so there.
price also includes shipping ect
Make your own fucking thread.

Well, to support this. I've observed that anything but GPU intensive tasks run through Wine are done significantly faster than on native windows. This doesn't confirm anything since it's on both Linux and Mac OS and it's basically just an observation without the proof to back it up.
This is mostly related to install processes and other insignificant stuff so I can't see it meaning anything at all. one thing that IS certain is that the Mac OS GPU drivers are optimized like grinded skunk shit.

no
Mac OS doesn't utilises the resources better, but it being based on BSD makes it faster than windows for some tasks

But the average PC is way more powerful than the average mac anyway so....
