it's a quote from a 12 year old at kidz world
Ah... Kidzworld... what a stupid site. I gotta say, there's one or two computer literates there. We'll have to recruit 'em to FP... ...on second thought... Went to a local computer store, looked at some of the sound cards they had. Guy who worked there came up to me and said "I have that graphics card, its crap. Don't buy it."

I think he might've been new.
Since everyone is posting about rats, can someone recommend me a decent "gaming" mouse for under $50?
I think he might've been new.
If he works there, even if it was a graphics card, he should've said about how awesome it is to sell it.
I think this goes here. A few months ago a mouse ate some cables in My PC and died, i had 2 days of anger and problems. they replaced my MoBo but then realized it was a TV Tuner Card is chewed into, which i had never used. So they replace my old one and offer to replace the tuner for free, i say no thanks, take it out and gimme my pc back. They also covered the Slots on the back of my PC with little metal plates while they did this, i had left one of the holes open above my GFX card to keep it cool. My graphics card ran about 12 degrees hotter than normal for the last 2 months and now i found out why. God damnit i hate places like PC world and those tech-shops.
Did a computing test, list two advantages of using tables in a webpage I put "because she can't use css or <div> tags"

It's not that hard, you unscrew it/unclip it and slide it out.
Apparently I can't access my University's bookstore website because they've denied access to all LAN areas from people using anything but Google Chrome or IE8. Why?
Firefox is one of the most insecure, unstable, virus-ridden browsers out there. We've denied access to LAN areas because we don't want you infecting the server. Use IE8, a more secure, stable, faster, easy-to-use browser or Google Chrome if you like minimalism (it's slower but works).
I'm seriously considering going over there and punching them in the face. I'M STILL THE NETADMIN for a couple more days. This shall not stand.

Seriously? I mean one of the things I had to do for college told me Firefox/Chrome weren't supported (although they worked quite well...) but outright blocking you? That's absurd!
What the hell are they smoking?! IE is probably the most insecure browser of all! [editline]16th December 2010[/editline] And how can a browser "infect the server"?
What the hell are they smoking?! IE is probably the most insecure browser of all! The guy on the other end seemed to not believe I was the netadmin. He can no longer access any websites, the server, or anything on the LAN. :smug: I'll let him sweat for another 15 minutes before I restore access. Oh look, someone's calling me. I wonder who it could be. [editline]16th December 2010[/editline] It's finals week, btw, so this is probably worrying him a lot. Let the call go to voicemail. He's calling me again.
Seriously? I mean one of the things I had to do for college told me Firefox/Chrome weren't supported (although they worked quite well...) but outright blocking you? That's absurd!
A few of our lecturers block us from using Firefox due to a Network Vulnerability (read: They don't authenticate the lecturer proxy at fucking all). But we can still get away with Chrome, even though we could still swap to their proxy again...
I GOT A STRAIGHT ANSWER FROM THEM!!! Forefront TMG doesn't support the Mozilla user agent for some reason (read: They didn't read the manual, I'm reading it right now and you need to explicitly allow all user agents used on the network). This will be fixed before sunset. I also called the guy an idiot for calling Firefox bad. I asked him which browser he uses and he (of course) said IE8. I didn't say anything.
You should block the IE user agent and force people to use an alternate browser.
Just had a 2 few seconds powercuts in my area and all the xbox fanboys just got RRODs because of the voltage spike, they're all searching on youtube to use the "penny trick". Good thing my cousin asked me how to fix it instead of wrapping it in a towel and making it overhead and probably breaking it more

I've never had a problem with brownouts/voltage-spikes, only blackouts. And last blackout were 6 years ago.
RROD (3 circle segments) means a general hardware failure. Usually this is caused on the old models by overheating, but in this example, a voltage spike got to the console and damaged it.
