When lots of things that require electric get turned on at once they all require considerably more power to start up, and they basically just get overloaded. Thats why in theme parks they turn rides on at different times
EDIT: It only went out for about a second
RROD (3 circle segments) means a general hardware failure. Usually this is caused on the old models by overheating, but in this example, a voltage spike got to the console and damaged it.
Isn't the PSU supposed to protect the Xbox against these things?

Mabye newer versions have it because quite a few peoples are fine.
Considering it's microsoft, no.

If I got an Apple product, I would probably sell it to buy parts for my next PC.
They get red rings if the power does that. I bumped my surge bar once and someone blew a breaker in the house another time. All I had to do was unplug it and plug it back in.

You should probably try unplug your keyboard and plug it in again, as one of your keys seams to be broken.

On second thought, only posting an image is not a really good idea.
You have to get with the times. Use more up-to-date prefixes.
Unless you're American. If so, you can completely disregard what I just said and retract into your little bubble again.

I have the oldest one (Hitachi Drive), still running fine. Although I seldom use it ever since I built my PC.
I got a 80GB Hitachi deskstar from 2004 and it's pretty solid
If he works there, even if it was a graphics card, he should've said about how awesome it is to sell it.
Not if it was the cheap one...
If I got an Apple product, I would probably sell it to buy parts for my next PC.
Well that's a waste.
Well that's a waste.
He said "sell", not "chop into tiny bits and burn the remains".
If he wasn't going to use it anyway, then why should selling it (to someone who would, I presume) be a "waste"?
If someone gave me a Mac, I'd sell it too.

I sign up for raffles and such even if they involve iphones/touches/pads/macs, strictly with ebay in mind. They'd probably be useful if I didn't have something that already does the job.
Since everyone is posting about rats, can someone recommend me a decent "gaming" mouse for under $50?
I hear the MX518 is good, I found one for $50 in Australia, you should be able to find one cheap as fuck if you're American
Well, back from my one week ban. Did I miss anything interesting regarding Mandrith and/or wingless's dad?
And apparently, knowing the difference between DDoS'ing and hacking apparently makes me some sort of super duper computer magician.
And I got called over at work lately for issues somebody had with Word. Their logic? I study IT, therefore I must know how to solve all their problems.

Just got mine from eBay today, I like it a lot more than my Deathadder which had scroll wheel issues. One of the excellent features is that it doesn't need a few watts of LEDs to look nice.

I'm left-handed and extremely jealous of superior gaming mice
still got a cool one

I'm left handed too, plus I have cerebral palsy(a very mild case) on my right side. Thus I am restricted to using the left side of my body. However, most right handed mice(except for the Naga, which I want in left handed form) work fine for me. and I use the right handed button set up, thus I primarily click with my middle finger. Shit is so cash.

I have like 3 of those from Dell computers I've acquired. They all work fine. Seriously, for me, they are the easiest drive to get for free ever.
On another note I took a look at my step dads Debian box today. 20 GB hard drive, 256MB of RAM. I've decided to throw the 160 Hard Drive and the disk drive back in my old box and give it to him as an early christmas present. See what he can do with it.
Looking at those mouses, makes me feel bad, because I cant really use them. Since I'm left handed.
All the lefty people I know still use mice with their right hands
All the lefty people I know still use mice with their right hands
I do. I learned that way and its still the most comfortable. Though I still can't do shit that requires dexterity with my right.
Most of these gaming mice are shaped for right handed people though, with the bulge on the right and the indent to the left.
Well, because of my CP I can't do anything that requires vast motor skills with my right side. I can use it, but only for stuff in autoCAD.
