Computer illiterate people who think they know things V7 content: out of stock

Damn wingless, your father is a dick. Remove the optical drives...
Mandrith, your father is also a dick. If I had a job I'd PayPal you a few bucks.
My brother's laptop was effected by the whole shitty Nvidia mobile GPU problem, out of warranty... I lent him my secondary computer (24" intel iMac) for now... I gotta make some calls.
Same brother put his phone through the wash, had to disassemble it and remove water from the screen (Fucking sliders, not easy to take apart at all).
I've been fighting with Rogers support to give our family plan Call Display (When we get called, the phone says "Unknown Number"), though they want EIGHT DOLLARS extra a month, per line. We pay $120-200 a month... The pay-as-you-go customers get it for fucking free. I'm helpless on my own, so I'm considering talking to The Globe and Mail or something.
Being the only one who knows how to use technology in my household is a bitch.

I remember someone asking pretty much the same question a while ago.

Happened to me too, so I disabled the virus filter in chrome, click the little wrench, click settings and the uncheck the little box saying something in the lines of "Activate protection against phising and viruses"

I'm sure people who are great at dancing thinks the same about you.
Or maybe scientists. "Well they are all dumb not figuring out how to simulate conditions after the big bang, lets put them on an island!"
Being computer literate doesn't make you any better than anyone else, so shut the fuck up.

basic to medium Computer literacy ---> Common sense, asking around and looking at tutorials if no physical being is there.
But mostly common sense.
Wow, I'm suprised that no one have posted this yet.

It wasn't posted because it wasn't really content. While a Mac can get viruses, it's significantly less likely, because a) it's a smaller target, so less viruses are made for it and b) the OS itself is extremely secure and stable, due to being forked from FreeBSD: the userland programs, not necessarily, but at least you don't have exploits in the kernel or IP stack, like Windows.
I have a Mac and I am the voice of reason.
He should go and rightly fuck himself.

I wouldn't recommend it really. It's the easy, but very unsafe solution for 2 reasons:
1. If you turn it off you don't know when you really get to unsafe site and that can cause problems.
2. You might forget to turn it back on when the FP malware problem gets fixed.

As far as I'm concerned, OSX is as vulnarable as Windows 7.

Even so, point 1 applies. If every OS was equally secure, you'd get 19 viruses on Windows for each virus on a Mac. That's safety.

I didn't say being on a Mac wasn't more secure just that you made it sound like Microsoft doesn't give a shit about security.

I know MS gives a shit about security. It's just that, with their track record and all the legacy programs they have to support, I doubt their capability to actually get it right.

More like nobody who makes virii gives a shit about Mac
More like nobody who makes virii gives a shit about Mac
That's a pretty shitty response. If people who make viruses consider it 'beneath them' to make them for Macs, then why is that a bad thing? Big fucking deal.

Good, that means the after-after-burners are kicking in. You should be able to play Crysis on, like, double max, all the way.
Dude, You idiots, For CPU Afterburners you need to have control fans! Why did you turn it on in the BIOS In the first place! The control Fans are usually placed directly above the CPU, Heatsink or not.
I'm gonna break the combo now. It's funny sometimes, most of the time it isn't.
