whoah hey there KOTOR 2 is a good game
Yeah - from six years ago. There's no reason to be selling it now, definitely not for $25.
Other old games Best Buy has: STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl, The Orange Box, and Left 4 Dead. Good games, but not particularly new ones, and definitely overpriced.
A superstore in a neighbouring city had an interesting set-up on their game shelf:
The Orange Box: €25. Half Life 2: €35.
Look at this, and the one of the answers. I really hope he is a troll
Content here!
So, I was at Fry's today, and I went over to the video card area (which is near where the dell laptops are), and I overheard this conversation. Exactly these words.
Frys Guy "This Dell has a GeForce 7000M built in, with 3 GB of RAM..."
Dude #1 "Will it play Portal?"
Frys Guy "Yes, and it also has Norton built in..."
Dude #2 "Does it have Netflix?"
Frys Guy "Uh-huh, and it also has a trial for Office 2010"
Dude #1 "It's 1,000 dollars, are you sure it's good?"
Frys Guy "Yes, we got it pre-built from Dell, and Dell currently is the highest quality brand of laptops we sell here"
Dude #1 and #2 "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
*The dudes leave*
Huh, does anyone here live near Fry's in Concord, CA?

This depresses me. Also yes.

So, I was in the locker room for gym class, and I overheard these two guys:
Guy 1: So I had to completely wipe my external hard drive for a different OS.
Guy 2: Why?
Guy 1: Because when you have data you extracted from one OS and you try plugging it in to a different one, the OS goes KAABOOOOSH!!!!!!!

Mine does. They block Facebook, but everyone knows you can use https:// to get in FB. And then they use https://proxify.com to get to other sites, or they use google translate.

Same thing, the teachers are all like "DON'T GO ON FACEBOOK" for some reason, but it isn't blocked :v:
this school blocking discussion reminds me how a group of 3 guys at my school boot off of an ubuntu flash drive onto a computer in the very corner of the computer lab to fap at lunch

Yes, the most bypassable filter in the US! :allears:
We just use Google Translate to get to blocked sites.

I remember the day my high school blocked FP. I was actually browsing when they added the block - I clicked the "rate" button (see, back in my day we had to click a button to pop up the ratings selection), and the screen got covered with about a dozen Symantec "Content Blocked" warnings. I refreshed, found that FP itself was blocked. Really sucked, but I probably was spending too much time on the site.
Today, my mom was downloading some toolbars for Internet Explorer. I noticed that every now and then she would go over and move the mouse (she was cooking while they were downloading). I asked her why she was moving the mouse every now and then.
"If the screensaver comes on it uses up internet and makes the download go slower"
You are in IPv4 networks :v: The IPv6 standard is being designed around the idea that the small business/ home network owner won't have to remember any of it, I think. Even more so than using DHCP with IPv4.
I really do wonder when the standard come into effect fully.
Uh, kinda a few pages late but still. Its already implemented in most routers and OS'es, just that nobody has done it properly, windows BSOD every minute if you have IPv6 on and my router goes batshit if i turn it on there.
No idea when it will come into full effect though.
Also who doesnt remember their IP address? :v:
Our school uses that popular but shit system that relies on all the traffic proxying through a server that has it installed.
Our school has Firefox installed on every computer.
Tools, options, connection, disable proxy server, surf without blocking.
Oh and the proxy doesn't block shit like Youtube or Facebook, only porn and shit (I think Facepunch is blocked though, I think the category part said Pornography (German)).
Also who doesnt remember their IP address? :v:
I don't because its dynamic. :saddowns:
I'm homeschooled online and they supplied me with an iMac G5 (which I didn't need but was nice, and is sitting unplugged behind my monitor right now).
They tied it down, locked so many things out in the actual OS itself that it was slower then Windows whilst being bogged down by 50 terrible viruses. I couldn't even use Safari without getting the magical spinning color wheel about every 5 seconds. And then it would randomly crash, or the internet would stop working on it and JUST it and I would have to reboot it to get it to work again.
Wasn't even allowed to do system updates. It was 0.0.1 VERSIONS BELOW THE REQUIRED FOR STEAM FOR MAC.
And Firefox was the only thing that had the web blocker on it. Safari didn't. I forgot the name of it but it blocked EVERYTHING that was even REMOTELY fun.
Oh! It was... Web Marshall... Or something like that I think....

Actually, doesn't Windows 7 has IPv6 running by default? Hell, Windows had IPv6 in a "stable" release before Linux did - I highly doubt it will blue-screen in minutes due to something enabled by default.
And IPv6 addresses are generally easier to remember than they look. Since you're in theory given an entire /64 network to use (far larger than the ENTIRE IPv4 address system), almost every address will end in 0:0:0:1, 0:0:0:2, and so on. So, if you're working on a single network, you can just memorize one network address, and then a two-byte host address. And since there's no subnet mask to keep track of, it might actually be easier than IPv4 addresses.
Pepper;26885826']reformat?
They'll want it back eventually.
And if I reformat it they'll call it "damaging school property."
