maybe if developers actually took their time on the PC version people will buy it
a lot of developers are complaining that they're not selling well on the PC, when the reason why is clearly because they didn't put in the work on the PC version.
[editline]wefe[/editline]
also that article is terribly generalized and whoever wrote it should feel bad

Appearently you should hate PC gamers for changing the multiplier.

See if you can spot the irony
(insert Xbox Live: The Gaming Nursery picture here)
also PC gamers wouldn't complain if the developers actually cared about the PC version
it's especially frustrating when developers blame lack of PC game sales on piracy, when the reason why is because people don't want to spend $60 on a terrible port
Ha! I have never been, and probably never will be, caught. This is my system:
1. Set up desktop. OpenBSD, there's no way anyone without skill is going to figure out how to use it. Especially since the only things plugged in is the power cable and a cat-5 ethernet. No mouse. No keyboard. No monitor.
2. Set up a hidden user on the desktop. Best way is to have the username start with a '.'. This will be your porn-browsing user. Make sure there's at least one other user account on the machine in normal working order. Copy some documents and crap into ~ to make it look used. Don't forget to blacklist the hidden user's home directory from being indexed.
3. Configure the desktop as an X client. It'll be running the programs and everything.
4. Get a second computer. I use my laptop for this. If it already runs X (Linux and BSD always do this, not sure if OS X does), good. If it's Windows, install Cygwin-X.
5. Whenever you watch porn, ssh into the first machine, and start an X server on your second. Forward everything right, and you get a copy of Firefox displaying on your machine, but storing everything (history, cookies) on another. Go ahead and save things to that machine.
6. If there's something that absolutely requires Windows (Flash, for instance), save it to machine one, and use Samba to access the files from another machine. This leaves much less of a trace.
7. When browsing, always keep a browser window open on machine 2. Point it at something harmless and boring - Slashdot comments, the Valve developer wiki, TVTropes, etc.
Pretty much indetectable, unless you A) get caught red-handed (I have tips on this too, if you want them) or B) you have the smartest parents in the universe.
Jesus christ, dude. Chrome has an incognito window, that's plenty.
Edit: Yet another instance of opening a random page that is not the latest page in the thread. Awesome!

Wait, how does that thing handle L4D? I've been curious as to just how poorly(or not) one of those performs.

You can tell it's a bad website because even the ads aren't formatted right :eng101:
someone needs to rig explosives in koticks car
This was shown on an article about a security hole in IE.
If you look really close you can see that the green font is the Linux teminal :downs:

a dell monitor with an apple sticker on it running linux.
Brilliant.
Fuck. I'm glad I canceld my PCWorld Subscription last year... I had one for quite a few years. The only reason I'm keeping the pile is to laugh at them in a decade. They had decent articles when I started reading them, though now they're all business shit, uninteresting shit, shit I already knew and maybe point out a piece of software I didn't know existed. They killed the last page article (One of the better ones) and replaced it with some abomination where they Photoshop a few different gadgets together.
Sticking to Make magazine now; The stuff in there is original, well written and interesting. The projects are fun and useful (A comfortable chair made out of a sheet of plywood? Awesome!).
oh my, l4d is awesome on a 60" screen
