i fucking hate the top menu on 2007 and 2010
Same, but My dad bought a 3PC Microsoft Office 2010 Lisence. I really wish they still produce Microsoft Office 2003.
i fucking hate the top menu on 2007 and 2010
I realize it's hard to use at first, I'll give you that, but come on... Office 2003 is old by now, and there's even an Office 2011 in the works... it's time to catch up with the times and move on!
Don't worry, I finished doing the shit to my dads computer, The wallpaper says "You're welcome, Dad". When he confronts me about it I'll say "Well if you are so good at running a server, why don't you run your own on your favorite server OS?"
I'm 2 days late, but got me wondering. Why the diddley-dick did you have a CD-ROM drive in your server?
I'm 2 days late, but got me wondering. Why the diddley-dick did you have a CD-ROM drive in your server?
Maybe dad used an external cd-drive? Or am I giving the guy too much credit?
Maybe dad used an external cd-drive? Or am I giving the guy too much credit?
Ok but, how about installing an OS through a pendrive or something?? That'd render his dad's Win 2008 Server CD useless [editline]13th November 2010[/editline] That'd make a great Combo Breaker for his dad IMHO!
I'm 2 days late, but got me wondering. Why the diddley-dick did you have a CD-ROM drive in your server?
You can never know when a CD drive could come in use :eng101:
You can never know when a CD drive could come in use :eng101:
Linux Distros, of course. And abandon ware games that have gone free
My dad bought me a video card today, he told me to choose any card I want. I chose a GTX460. When we came back home. He told me "I wanted to buy you the GTX480 just now". I regret choosing a GTX460 now. :saddowns: By the way, My brother was deleting some stuffs of my parents PC, he deleted stuffs like CCleaner and Speccy. He said it was a virus. He also end up downloading those bullshit programs like, Anti-Malware Security Tool 2010.
Same, but My dad bought a 3PC Microsoft Office 2010 Lisence. I really wish they still produce Microsoft Office 2003.
I may have a key if you want it. It's Microsoft Office Student and Teacher 2003
[img_thumb]http://i56.tinypic.com/2vn1is7.jpg[/img_thumb] :byodood: Methinks it's time for a defrag
It's things like this that make me glad I have an SSD...never have to defrag (and shouldn't defrag, but whatever).
Plus my computer only has like 4 RAM and a shitty integrated thing in which I can't upgrade.

I'm 2 days late, but got me wondering. Why the diddley-dick did you have a CD-ROM drive in your server?
My server has two CD drives. I don't know where to keep them so I don't bother with removing them. I already have 3 unused drives lying around as it is.
My server has two CD drives. I don't know where to keep them so I don't bother with removing them. I already have 3 unused drives lying around as it is.
Same here. At one point, I had ~10 CD drives. All PATA, all internal, only two were burners. I managed to sell a couple, but at this point pretty much all of my desktops have two CD drives, despite never really using them.
Why use a CD drive in a server why not just get a flash drive.
Why use a CD drive in a server why not just get a flash drive.
If you've got one lying around, it can't hurt.
Why use a CD drive in a server why not just get a flash drive.
Why not?
Since the general chat thread got locked; would it be okay to use a Vizio LEDtv as a computer monitor and leave it on almost 24/7?
Since the general chat thread got locked; would it be okay to use a Vizio LEDtv as a computer monitor and leave it on almost 24/7?
Thread wasn't locked: http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1021546-The-quot-Quick-Questions-that-does-not-Deserve-a-Thread-quot-...Thread. And I don't think there would be any problem with using it as a monitor. Leaving it on 24/7 might make it overheat, but I don't have experience with LED tvs.
Okay, thanks.
My general thread was locked.
Just for clarification I use a USB External DVD Drive, Otherwise it wouldn't fit in my server.
OH GOD I COULDN'T EVEN POST.
content up in this bitch
At least she's interested in it. [editline]11th November 2010[/editline] is she hot [editline]11th November 2010[/editline] pics plz
She only wanted to know what I was doing with the computer. And she is 14.
Just for clarification I use a USB External DVD Drive, Otherwise it wouldn't fit in my server.
Just wondering; how about you disable all USB ports from BIOS (and enable them only if you need to use them), so that if your dad tries to use it to do something again, it wouldn't work at all?? Besides, that'd give you some extra peace of mind, knowing that your dad's hands are pretty much tied, don't you think? [editline]13th November 2010[/editline] Just a thought

That means downtime to get the USB ports up and running again.
