We had a 2-hour Java test, but we could use the computer. Actually, you had to. You had to make a comment in the beginning of the file with your name on it and then print the source code and hand it in. Must have been a pain in the ass to check those tests.
We started to learn computer parts on our IT classes, and to my surprise, everyone actually knows them. Also, Yes, my graphics idle like that. Go to 100C under heavy use, and apparently that's normal for Macbooks. I burnt my hand by touching the battery while playing GTA IV.
Tomorrow I have an HTML test for my computers & systems class. It's on fucking paper. And when we are in the actual computer lab, we can only use Notepad for programming, no matter what.
You've never had to write a hundred lines+ of godawful msp430xx ASM on paper. ;_;

I just read a commercial on the Sony Ericsson x10 mini. It appears to have "the internet" inside.

WHO THE FUCK DECIDED TO PUT THE MIC RIGHT NEXT TO THE SPEAKER?!? c
One of the guys on my floor was complaining that his laptop was freezing. I go to see the laptop. He has it wrapped in a towel. I ask him why he has a towel wrapped around his laptop. He said it was cold because he'd left his window open that night and the temperature was low so it was freezing. It wasn't even turned on. I fell victim to a FUCKING PUN. :smithicide:
I think the sender of the email describes those who visited the link quite well.
The lack of cleartype reminds my of my school's computers.
You guessed it
Why do school computers never have it? My school didn't and my college doesn't.
My class mate says Mac is better than Windows. EDIT: Sorry i had too :v:
My class mate says Mac is better than Windows. EDIT: Sorry i had too :v:
how original
I would have fucking murdered him for that. He had no right to shut that shit down. SUE!

Me and my Dad are working on a TF2 map now. He`s a submarine draftsman irl, so he`s been drawing schematics of a TF2 level, while I put it into Hammer. It`s a koth map with two oppossing bases. This is awsome. :neckbeard:
It`s okay, I got an autosave back.
I put my laptop in hibernate and pulled a memory stick because I forgot I'd hibernated it and assumed it was shut down properly :downs:. Checkdisk, checkdisk everywhere.
So, I'm getting a new computer and I'm wondering if I could just copy my Steam folder to my external HDD and put it on my new computer.
So, I'm getting a new computer and I'm wondering if I could just copy my Steam folder to my external HDD and put it on my new computer.
Yes.
So, I'm getting a new computer and I'm wondering if I could just copy my Steam folder to my external HDD and put it on my new computer.
Yes, but stop asking questions in the "Computer illiteracy" thread.
Yes, but stop asking questions in the "Computer illiteracy" thread.
It was my last question anyway.
Yes.
Theyre okay with that? Like, legally? It aint piracy?
Theyre okay with that? Like, legally? It aint piracy?
If you own the games, copying the data files to anything you own is perfectly legal. They'd actually prefer it that way - it uses less of their bandwidth. You can't really use it as piracy - Steam will control whether you can actually run the programs, so just copying files around won't let anybody play it. For that, you'd have to get a cracked Steam.exe, which is something I both won't and can't help you with.

Though, technically, don't you just own a license to use it as a service?
Theyre okay with that? Like, legally? It aint piracy?
No... ? Why would it be that? It's protected so you need to own the games anyway.
I put my laptop in hibernate and pulled a memory stick because I forgot I'd hibernated it and assumed it was shut down properly :downs:. Checkdisk, checkdisk everywhere.
My biggest beef with Windows 7 minuscule error, and it almost forces you to do a checkdisk after you've restarted it. And it also used to have a tendency to freeze right after it's begun the checkdisk utility. Needless to say, it's the only, but still a big source of rage I get of Windows 7 :argh:
You know what else annoys me about USB devices? Unplugging a USB mouse will wake up a sleeping computer. Really annoying when you're trying to go to sleep, realize the LED from your laptop's mouse is shining on the ceiling, unplug it and hear the laptop whir as it wakes back up. A trivial annoyance, but still fucking annoying.

But there seems to be no harm coming from it, so no big deal.
Rename CHKDisk? I am on Vista, it has never opened for me
"My friend's computer has so many gigs of ram that he has to have a 64-bit operating system!" "6 gigs of DDR4 ram"
