Computer illiterate people who think they know things V7 content: out of stock

That would be the case for me, except I don't have a decent computer(as of now) to play games on... So I play, alone, on a console. D=
There is nothing wrong with playing console games. Sometimes I prefer to play GRiD or Halo: Reach with my friends in the same room. I can't do that on one PC.
Consoles = Social Experiences
PC = When I want to play games alone.
My PC is hooked up to the TV and me and my friends play Street fighter 4 on versus mode.
Generally alot of the local multiplayer stuff I play with my friends is on the PC
My old high school is using IE6 because the district doesn't want to waste the money to upgrade their security package :eng99:.
What's wrong with playing both PC and console? :colbert:
PC is usually good, especially if you have enough you can put on the same LAN and play together, but console is so much easier when you can just turn on the controllers, put the disc in, and play. I'm normally alone anyway so I just play whatever I feel like that day, but in the case of having friends over, console had been easier, but they're getting somewhat decent laptops they can bring over, making it easier to play on PC.
Now, when two of my friends were arguing about which was better (a battle of the illiterates I could go on about), I think they should both just go home and play how they like and leave me out of it. It used to be console vs PC, but now its just turning into xbox vs ps3, and it's piss annoying.
People in my year9 computer class think they are coding experts because they are good at "microworlds". Needless to say I am always bored shitless.
Does anyone here who is from England have to tak AQA ICT tests? they are the ones that mark all our work and its realy pissing me off, I have to have a 40 page booklet of screenshots to explain exactly what I did, I also have to make mistakes on purpose JUST so I can correct them later and do yet more screenshots on it.
[editline]19th November 2010[/editline]
Its a good thing I'm doing a database driven website for my final project, atleast then I can just print all my code off and annotate it.

I did WJEC because of our welsh teacher.
It was good.
Little shot of memories from the past: I was on holiday in a seaside town I knew pretty well and, since I did not have a laptop with a wi-fi connection, I had to go to a netpoint nearby. It was pretty nice actually: you registered your private account and could use it as a regular computer as long as you paid the weekly fee, which was also cheap.
One day I walk in and the store's owner says: "I had to reformat everything for maintenance, so accounts are disabled for a while, they're pretty much public computers for now."
I get to a computer, and there's a note close to every monitor saying that saving important files is not recommended, since everyone can view them.
I decide to take a peek into the documents folder, and what do I meet?
Lots of important-sounding work documents, and naked pictures of various girlfriends. Oh, human stupidity...

I've got all of the three big systems. I do whatever i damn well please and i give dickall if people have such a big gap in their life as to hate a gaming system. I won't be as lucky with my systems next gen, but at least i will not be ignorant and/ or blindly hating. Sure, i've got personal preferences, but all in all, that's the only thing it ever comes down to.
I mentioned that, but since most browsers don't support it (only FF and Opera, IIRC), it isn't a big deal. It would probably be worse to teach this class about APNG.
Though it's not official according to wikipedia

And that's the highlight of my day.
Enough with music. Content.
Okay, today, in Science, the Teacher's assistant was using a very old version of IE, and NO antivirus software. She said the school had a firewall that blocked viruses. I quickly explained how viruses can easily get in through exploits that happens mainly with older versions of IE, and then I told her about Chrome. She said she would tell her husband to switch to Chrome because I showed her how cool it is with Adblock plus. Then she installed MSE.
Two down, 1,000 teachers to go.

Hey look guys, content just came to this thread.
hrome is pretty much the best browser, it's pretty equal to FF.
FF and Chrome both have pros and cons. but i prefer Chrome, but sometimes I use FF as well.

If I had an i7 I'd be calculating as much of PI as I can, I would love an i7 :sigh:

and nice how you only managed to read the first 2 words in my post
It's Hyper-Rome, an extension to the popular browser: Rome
I was just trying to get him to buy at least one PC game and it failed. I quit trying to convert people now.
Try dealing with people at my school
Random: What are you making?
Friend: A game (A mod for Red Alert 3)
Random: Will it be like cod?
Friend: No, it's a top down game, not an fps
Random: What, like Runescape?
Friend: No, it's nothing like Runescape
Random: What guns can you unlock in it?
And that just goes on until the next class
Wow, to many CoD fans now. I say Facepunch makes a game! Call it Call Of Duty: No More Fans Damnit! Rated E for everyone. :downs:
Add an automatic volume adjuster so you don't have people going BRRRRRRAWRAWRAWRAG every time you steal their kill
And guns you buy, not unlock, buy no matter what level, you buy with XP. I'm starting to steal ideas from games now. :tinfoil:
Friend: I download movies, and then delete those, because those take alot of memory!
Me: What memory?
Friend: RAM
Me: :v:

Why base our game on a mediocre one? Call it FUCK SHIT UP: EXTREME! Rated M for MANLY. :pcgaming:
This guy in my class with assburgers thinks he knows everything. :effort:
Me: got a PC?
Him: Yeah, a laptop
Me: What's the specs of it?
Him: Err, what?
Me: RAM, processor and the like
Him: 30 gigs of RAM
Me: But surely you can't have that on a laptop? What OS do you have?
Him: 7 Basic
Me: That supports around 8... you sure you not mean 30 gigs of HDD space?
Him: Wow fuck you you're a fucking idiot. Suck my dick, you don't know shit.
