Just made $60 on a LiveCD for Ubuntu. I sold it to my neighbor because he said, "Why is Linux so expensive?" I said "Because it is, but I'll sell it to you for sixty dollars." I love tricking idiots. [editline]24th November 2010[/editline] Broke my auto-merge.
I'll sell him OpenOffice for $30.
Silly question: Is it best to leave my case cover off for cooling or just leave it on?
uhh really depends on the fan scheme, 1 fan only (other than PSU) off is good, push pull setup IE multiple fans on is better. but it won't hurt the pc unless t is a blade server
Oh okay, a few pages back they were talking about the 4850 being hot and I have that GPU. I kept it closed since my new kitten keeps shitting in it.
I kept it closed since my new kitten keeps shitting in it.
Pics please

BTW get out of this thead with ya questions (unless you post pics of your "Shitty" pc.)
(unless you post pics of your "Shitty" pc.)
His video card is "Shitty" :v:
Oh yes, you know the Gaming PC I got that I'm turning into a little whatever server, I've installed Arch and got SSH and FTP working and I'm going to use it as a 2nd backup for critical files :v:
I'm not sure if this really fits, but... I'm really sick of this "Hey guys, I am in the 'Intro to Programming' class at my school" humor. "I can make inside jokes now!" Wow, great job, we're so proud, don't you feel cool. Only one semester and you already know what an if statement is.
else this.bacon=bacon Am I cool yet?
Eew, Java.
else this.bacon=bacon Am I cool yet?
echo makin' bacon
*On SSH to my new CLI, Arch based Server* "Ah So I see you're using VNC to access the server over the IPv4 Network" "Well you got one thing right, I am using an IPv4 Network, But I'm using SSH not VNC" "Bullshit, SSH only lets you send commands, You can't actually see what the computer see's, You're that stupid?" "No SSH doesn't show you what the server see's but it does allow you a separate own interface, It's more like a second monitor except controlled over a network." "Bullshit, You're an idiot liar, you're using VNC, You just don't know it" Oh lord.

Content: Just now, my teacher was trying to open a file. It didnt work, it was some .eml (an email file for outlook). I had her send it over and i proceeded with notepad, found some html and copy-pasted it into a text doc (had to use cmd to edit the extention...). Still didnt work, was some javascript stuff in it. Then i saw a link in it. Copy-pasted it into the browser and up came a flash game (which apparently was what she was looking for). First of, why in gods name would anyone save the mail file in the fist place?! if theres a link, just copy that one! Second, why would anyone use javascript to create a hyperlink in a mail!? Anyway, heres the link (Mildly NSFW) http://unix.rulez.org/~calver/funny/swf/girl_power.swf

That flash game Fucking gold
How'dya Guess?
Couldn't you just exit out of ssh and press the up arrow so he can see "ssh user@host". If he even insisted you could have showed him your DAEMONS array and show him how ssh is running and not VNC. You know, you won't win an argument and get any respect out of your dad if every time he says something stupid and calls you an idiot you just take it in the ass, walk away and tell us about it. Proving almost anything is piss easy. You have to get him off his fucking power trip.

[editline]25th November 2010[/editline] Also, just popped up. If Fatfatfatty can't install Ubuntu, I'd hate to see him try Gentoo.
I was on the train home when I grabbed a newspaper. It had an Apple special in it. I happily read through it, partially: Interview with a random macfag: "Apple is and always has been the standard" Reasons to get a Mac #3, you don't get viruses. Reasons to get a Mac #5, you can run any major OS on it. 'nother interview with a random macfag: "OSX is so open, I can do anything I want on it" Non-existent lord, give me strength.
Non-existent lord, give me strength.
My new thing to say in front of christians :v:
Also, just popped up. If Fatfatfatty can't install Ubuntu, I'd hate to see him try Gentoo.
This is the first thing we should do when cloning technology becomes able to clone humans with the same intelligence as the original: Close the clone in a room with nothing but a computer with a Gentoo CD in it, and tell him he can't get out until he installs it. [editline]25th November 2010[/editline] The clone being of fatfatfatty of course
"so whats the T stand for" [editline]25th November 2010[/editline]
My new thing to say in front of christians :v:

you can run any major OS on it.
But how are you supposed to right click in Linux? [editline]25th November 2010[/editline] If you have a Macbook that is.
But how are you supposed to right click in Linux? [editline]25th November 2010[/editline] If you have a Macbook that is.
Didn't mention Linux. Just various versions of Windows.
Don't worry, apple's TOTALLY NEW and REVOLUTIONARY technology is planning to add the right click on all the iDevices by 2015.
If I want to go to OU, which I've gotten a scholarship to, I have to have an iMac or Macbook. Reason, they don't get viruses. I had so much hope in you OU. So I'm going to buy it, and dual boot it with Windows. No viruses my ass. Page King with content. :downs:
