Just put 4 x'es since anything else would be ignorance and plain dumb.
Although, to be fair, I use my 500GB FreeAgent Go as a flash drive most of the time.

Gah, I remember questions like that. Luckily, I tested out of the "computer applications" class, but even the test-out exam was full-on retard. It was seriously asking me things like "what is the primary difference between Windows 95 and Windows for Workgroups" and "A 3.5'' floppy is unsuited for multimedia because ___?".
Seriously. And I took that test this year. Fucking retarded.

I think I will complain if I get such a stupid test...If I even get a test asking computer questions.

Well, they're not exactly retarded questions, just extremely outdated.
Therefore irrelevant.
My Visual Basic exam was on a piece of paper.
I had to WRITE a setup for a working calculator.

My brother thinks Alienware makes quality computers....at a fair price.

It irritates me how things sometimes completely defeat the point of the original purpose. :sigh:

My CP tests usually contained at least 1 error, since the teacher was writing the tests a bit too quickly, and we all had to go over every wrong question in detail to make sure it was an error. We ended up having about 3 or 4 errors on recursion. I pointed out so many of them that it ended up with him asking me "Any messed up questions?" after I finished it. I'm still thankful that I never had complete idiots in my high school computer classes.
I do remember that the middle school IT teacher was getting all pissy at our school because we use Windows and couldn't help him with his Mac problem and saying things like "You call yourself IT teachers and you can't fix a Mac problem?".
My friend told me his pc was overheating thus being slow. Turns out he just had a lot of malware.

Actually, overheating CAN cause your computer to slow down. When the temps get too high, it may start lowering the clock on things, sometimes to a really low level. On my laptop, I forgot to clean out the dust for a year or so - after playing Oblivion or Crysis for too long, it would start lagging like crazy, framerate would drop to about .3 FPS, until it cooled down again. Turns out the temps were hitting about 95C - after clearing the vents, it's hard to get it over 60C.

Yeah I am aware of that, but his cpu was 35c on idle and 45c on 100%
But malwarebytes turned out quite some results. Cleaning it up made it run smooth again.

I know, and "malware" should be one of the first things you check when your computer's slow, but coming to a possibly valid but in that case incorrect conclusion is not illiteracy.

I checked temps first because I trusted him :(
Later I found out he doesn't even have an antivirus. I'm surprised he didn't install one of these fake antiviruses.
My Dad tried to install Norton Antivrus on my computer, good thing I stopped him half way through. I`ve restreicted access now on the guest account for my computer now. Though I`m not exactly sure what Antivrus I should use now. (I recently did a reformat.)
Microsoft security essentials
COMODO is pretty good
i haven't tried MSE yet.
Actually, MSE is a great choice. I use it. :colbert:
use both MSE and threatfire/comodo. hips systems are useless alone

... That almost sounds like Bullshit.
But then again, seeing how idiotic the average population on this dreaded rock in space has become, I'm also not surprised.

That happens to my computer if I use it on a blanket or something. Anything deep enough to sink the exhaust vent into. Weirdly, it only happens on Mass Effect 1, Crysis is unaffected.

It's stuff like that that made me get a side-vented laptop.

Hell, Apple just needs to put ANY vents on it. The exhaust is in the screen hinge. Seriously, I'm sure they can find a stylish way to do it.

You're trying too hard :v:

My laptop reaches apocalyptic temperatures after gaming for a few hours (and slows to a crawl). I want to clean it out but I can't figure out how to disassemble it enough to clear the dust out.
